Radisson Hotel Santa Maria

Review: We made Radissons reservations online. When filling out the reservation formed it asked if we wanted a sleep number bed we made absolutely certain that we checked no. We traveled to Santa Maria, California to visit family. We arrived late afternoon on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 and checked in once again mentioning that we do not want a sleep number bed. Exhausted from the drive, we layed down and immediately relalized that the beds were hard like laying on plywood hard. Wednesday the 25th, my husband mentioned the bed issue to the desk clerk. He was told that we were in a standard room without a sleep number bed. Not wanting to make a huge fuss in front of family we stayed the night. I am disabled. One of my major health issues is fibromyalgia. So when I lay or sit on a hard surface for long my illness becomes worse. On the 26th, my husband again talked to the front desk clerk and was told the same thing and was never given an option to move to another room. Finally frustrated we took off the sheets and sure enough there was a sleep number bed. It had been pumped up to the fullest setting and the they had hid the bed controls inside the bed. We made sure and took a picture of the inside of the bed to show them that it was a sleep number bed. Friday the desk clerk made notes this time for the manager but we did not received any response. We checkout early Saturday and the desk clerk said they wouldn't bill us until they had talked to the manager. After several days went by we were finally billed almost $650 for our stay. We then called the Radisson headquarters and made a formal complaint. HQ wouldn't do anything themselves but would have the hotel management give me a call. The manager called later that day and said that we were not in a sleep number room and berated me for being upset. I told him that we took pictures of the bed and then he admitted he had set the sleep numbe bed at firm! The sign at front desk said 100% satisfaction! They took of $50 and HQ said so sorry.Desired Settlement: After having gone through all the verbal abuse of the manager and having been lied to we will except nothing less than a full refund. I was unable to participate in family functions because of this problem.
