Radisson Suites Hotel Buena Park Reviews (2)

Review: I reserved a hotel room through the online Radisson Website, a few weeks back, for 9/14/14-9/15/14. It was online (and directly thru the hotel, so I thought). My travel plans were for an upcoming event, that was ultimately cancelled. The day before my booking (9/13), I called the hotel to find out what my options were, whether I could get a refund (and if so, what was the penalty), get another night for later use, etc. I called the number on my email reservation, however the print was so small on my phone, and I was already traveling, so I couldn't read it, therefore I called the hotel. I was routed to a central hotel booking number, and I was told that their system was down and they could not tell me anything. They suggested I call the hotel directly, which I did. I spoke to a man, named Suman, who told me he could not help me, and I would need to call back in the morning. I asked that they document my call, since I was trying to call before the date of the booked arrival. Then next morning, I spoke to another man who said there were no managers on staff to help me. I said I just wanted to know what my options were, he said he could not help me because I registered through some other source (which was news to me, as I thought it was thru the hotel directly), then he led me to believe they could remedy this after the fact, becuase I was concerned with not showing up, etc. But again, he stated that I would need to call back during M-f business hours. I explained that this was AFTER my booking date, but he said he couldn't help me. So I called again yesterday, and did speak to a manager. He was extremely rude, and said I was wrong, and I was lying, and that the "other managers" told me I could NOT get a refund. I didn't even talk to any managers. He was completely rude, and basically told me I knew I was out the $. After the phone call, I looked at my card, and they charged me another $25 fee.Desired Settlement: So Not only did I get charged the $120.03 on 8/30/14 but they also charged me another $25 on 9/15 (after my check out date). I don't believe I should have been treated so poorly, when I only wanted to find out what my options were in the first place. At this point, I would like a refund of both the $120.03 plus the $25 (for I don't even know what), and an apology for the completely rude treatment.

Review: July 31 - August 2, 2015 were the dates checked into the hotel. The first night there my girlfriend and I got some bug bites, but assumed that it was just the weather. The second night we were there, I got bit again. We checked under the bed sheets and there were fleas in our bed. This prompted us to put all of our belongings on a higher shelf. We put on the provided white cotton slippers the hotel gave us. We immediately saw more fleas jumping on the slippers. We notified front desk. They sent up a maintenance person who then sprayed the entire room with ammonia. We asked to be swapped to another room, but they said they were booked. Not only was the room fleas infested, but they stuck us in an ammonia filled room with no solution as it was 2am. They would not find us another room elsewhere. We did not have a car as well so our options were limited. For an hour, we asked for extra towels to put on the floor so that we could see the fleas easier. Within one hour, we had caught 20 fleas and paced them into a ziplock bag as evidence. There was nothing we do do, but get through the night. By morning time, we were so disgusted and paranoid that we lost sleep. We had caught more fleas. We have a video and pictures of the issues as well as all the bites. I wound up with more than 25 bites from fleas on my body, my girlfriend more than 10. We left quickly to the lobby to make our formal complaint. The area rug I was standing on was also flea ridden. There were fleas jumping on my leg. After speaking with the front desk manager, he told us that it wasn't a health problem. This got me upset. Who is it not a health problem to? Fleas can be carried from one place to another and breed quickly. We sought to not pay our stay due to the cleanliness, the inability to provide solutions, and for making excuses to our complaint. It has been more than a week since the incident and I have called several times to speak with a manager. We were charged and no response from them has beenDesired Settlement: I'm seeking a full refund for the stay. They did not try and give us a solution and made us sleep through their mess. Our other hotel for one night as a result was $300. We were traumatized so we spent a little more for cleanliness. I'm seeking payment for that hotel as well for which a bill can be provided. I would like an apology for not calling me back to hear my complaint as I was trying to solve this without a third party.
