Radon Safe, Inc. Reviews (3)

It is not uncommon to be shocked at having to spend good money on something you didn't know existed in your home when you go to sell it. Radon came as a surprise to these folks and they expressed their true feelings about it when we arrivedNeither Radon Safe, nor the realtors or EPA are to
blame for the high Radon levels in their home. We arrived to mitigate their home and all that was discussed was money. When we were finished, we left a Radon meter for a few days to make sure we did a great job. When we picked the meter up, money was again discussed. They also mentioned something about the pipes on an angle, which I explained all the reasons why. I was given a check and we left. If they wish to get a second opinion on the system, please feel free to. Any "corrections" will be made at no charge by us gladly. George Fardell

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
We were not complaining about the fact that we had a high radon level nor that we were having to correct it.  We wanted it corrected.  We were complaining about the way our complaint was handled with regards to the installation. When we expressed our discontent with the way it was installed, he did not want to correct it at either time he came to our home.  We paid him for his service at the time it was completed as we should have.  However, when he knew we were unhappy with the installation, he should have offered to fix it right then.  Instead he asked that we not mention it to the new homeowners.  We feel that is no way to conduct your business and wanted other prospective customers to know of our experience.  We no longer need him to correct it. We had it corrected immediately.

Review: A home inspection was performed on our house for an upcoming sale of the home. We were found to have a higher than allowed Radon reading. We contacted Radon Safe to come in and perform the necessary services to correct the Radon levels in our home so we could proceed with the sale of the home. The gentlemen performing the work placed the pipe in the utility room as close to the center of the home as possible. The pipe from the floor up was about 6 feet high and then went in a 45 degree angle up close to the ceiling and then horizontal out of the side of the house. I complained about the 45 degree angle at 6 feet high as being too low to be in the center of the room. A tall person would not be able to walk under the pipe without having to duck down and it looked like it was installed hurriedly and cheaply. I complained and his comment was, "he did not have enough pipe on his truck to complete the job any other way". He left his radon meter and said he would be back in a couple of days. He returned in a few days to pick up his meter. I complained again about the looks of the job and his comment was, "you are selling the house, why do you care anyway." At this point, I was done with him and I asked my wife to write him a check. As she was reluctantly writing the check, she also complained about how the pipe was installed. His comment was, "if the new owners complain, have them call me and I will come back and fix it; but I would appreciate it if you wouldn't initiate the complaint with them". My wife and I both have worked in sales most of our careers. We know this is not the way you treat a customer. Number 1 the customer is not happy at all and number 2 this customer will never ever recommend this company perform service for anyone they know. We had the pipe reinstalled by someone else who was concerned about how it looked.Desired Settlement: The only outcome that will be accepted is a $200 refund from Radon Safe for having to have the pipe installation corrected and to never, ever set foot on this property again.
