Review: On June 6, 2014 My wife ([redacted]) made an appointment to be seen to discuss my son's ([redacted]) speech delay and also some remaining pimples on his feet from the hand foot and mouth virus he had a few weeks before the appointment. She waited in the waiting room for two hours past my appointment time. Then when She was finally called the doctor said she doesn't have time to discuss her concerns due to other urgent patients. Instead she took a quick swab of my son's throat to check for strep throat. My wife had told her that he had that test done a little over a week ago and that She wasn't here for that, she still swabbed his throat. Then she told my wife that was all she could do for her, since she is busy with other patients. My Wife complained and had agreed with the office manager that I would not receive any charges for that visit. But I am being billed for that visit and they refuse to remove it in the billing department. The office manager won't get back to us. I had received a written notice prior to the bill stating that they are sorry and I won't be charged. But I have received two bills already. Here are our issues:
Why did the clinic book the appointment if they are so busy?
Why did the clinic just advise me to go home and book for another date since they are so busy and they saw my frustration and complaints during the two hour wait?
Why did she swab his throat for strep when he has already been diagnosed with hand foot and mouth virus and already had a strep test done by Rady's?
Why couldn't she at least discuss my concerns regarding his speech, milestones that should be reached, what creams to use on his feet for the pimples, and if daycare is a good way to get him to speak?
Why are they insisting on billing me eventhough we agreed that I shouldn't be charged since I wasn't seen for what I wanted?
Why did they not submit it to the insurance first? The billing department confirmed that they didn't.Desired Settlement: I want a billing adjustment and a letter stating it has been resolved
