The apartment that was leased to my son and two room mates was not clean before we moved him in The manager came up to the apartment and after checking it said that a cleaning crew would be up to clean it that day, but they never arrived After a few hours, myself and other parents went out to buy cleaning supplies and after hours of cleaning, we left, tired and disappointed The carpet was soiled very badly, the carpet cleaners came that afternoon, but the result was still substandard The carpet really needs replacing The dishwasher had standing water in it and was disgustingThe clothes dryer vent was missing and therefore the washer/dryer nook was full of dust, lent and spider websA real fire hazard Spider webs were all over the apartmentThe bathtub was full of dark soap sm and the toilet was grossThe toilet needs replacing as it has black permanent deposits on itThe paint in the microwave was rubbed off, making it look disgusting and it was dirty tooI could list so much more
Here is an excerpt of the email I wrote the manager, Adam Yarber and his response In the end, they replaced the microwave, dishwasher and fixed the faucet and dryer vent They gave us two $gift cards to pay for cleaning supplies, but they did not compensate us for cleaning, We asked for a months rent, but Adam's boss, Geary Dancy refusedWe will not be signing a new lease at the end of the contract and we expect to walk away from this apartment without final cleaning or paying a fee for final cleaning, because we have already cleaned it upon moving in (I'm sure Raiders Pass charged the last tenant for cleaning, but refuse to pass the pay on to us.)
