We were upset to hear about the C[redacted] issue. Rainbow Air Inc. was contracted through a general contractor, [redacted], to replace the C[redacted] existing air conditioner with a new air conditioner.

font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;">Whenever we install equipment through a contractor, the warranty registration process changes. It is required by the general contractor to provide the registration warranty information to the home owner and explain that they will be responsible for registering the warranty for the additional 5 year warranty.  Prior to 2011, AC manufacturers did not require the installing company to register the equipment.  This is why equipment paperwork and warranty registration information is given to the contractor by our lead installer. Rainbow Air provides a folder with all the paperwork for the home owner records. Upon completion, the lead installer will go over the paperwork with our customer, in this instance the general contractor. The contractor is instructed to give our folder to the home owners and explain to register the unit. Once the home owner register, the additional 5 years is add on to the original 5 years. In this matter, the unit was installed and operating for over 5 years without any mechanical issues. A mechanical failure occurred and there was an issue with the equipment not being registered for the additional warranty coverage.  Once the [redacted] discovered this, they called Rainbow Air. [redacted] was instructed to contact [redacted] Our office explained to him that the paperwork and warranty information is handed over to the contractor and the contractor is instructed to go over warranty registration. We apologized for the inconvenience, but let [redacted] know that 5 years is all the manufacturers would warranty saying the unit was not registered for 10 years. He was informed he had the option of calling Day & Night to see if they could do anything. Rainbow Air Conditioning did not hear back from the [redacted] regarding this issue.

In my 65 years on this planet, I have never found a better business. Someone upstairs was watching out for me when I first called Rainbow Air, 7 or 8 years ago. I just had the latest service call today, and as usual, the service was top notch. I was a month past warranty, but they decided to overlook that and not charge me a thin dime. My service technician, John, was such a great guy. Thank you, John! All of the service technicians, over the years, have been absolutely wonderful, just like John. I'm so thrilled with my new thermostat (the old one was a dinosaur), and I love the cool air! Thank you, thank you!

Review: Back in May of 2010 Rainbow Air was contracted to install ac and heating unit in our home by [redacted]. Last month December of 2015 my wife went to turn on our heater, which would start up then suddenly shut off. I called a ac tech to take a look at unit , was told blower was out he called [redacted] his supplier with serial number was told unit was never registered. I called Rainbow Air on December 17th and spoke to Kathy about the issue. She said she would look into it and call me back later that day. She never did called the following day, some one else answered said Kathy had left message that it was contractors job to register unit. got in touch with Mark at [redacted] He said it was installers duty to fill out paper work. Rainbow Air will not take blame cause if so they will be responsible for unit for next 5 years. The unit which is a Day/Night unit has a 5 year warranty, if registered within 90 days has an additional 5 years. The unit is located on the roof of our home. my wife was given blank paper work with no serial number and never told about unit having to be registered. what was my wife suppose to go to roof to get info. my understanding is it is installers duty to fill out paper work and register unit. I called Rainbow Air on December 29th and spoke to a man he said he would look into it and call me he never did. Needless to say we have no heat in our home because someone did not do their job. In other words sorry about your problem. Even though they know they did wrong they are not taking responsibility for the matter.
