"The center had a waiting list with more than names...."Where did the parent get that information, we have no idea
Again, the security deposit is only refunded in the tuitionThe language cannot be more clear in our contract
Again, all of our staff clearly understand our policies on registration fees and security depositAnd it's never a case by case basis
Again, our director has spoken to you many times on this issueAnd she is not a director assistantWe hope that you do treat her with respect
Our center is proud in our services and we do not appreciate that the parent keeps on making unfounded accusationsOur revenue comes from our loyal parents who really appreciate what we have done for their children and not security depositsPlease do understand that we need to uphold our policies

Review: I enrolled my child for UPK program and day care services on July [redacted] for starting day in September 2014 for 2014-2015 academic year. I paid the application fee of $100 and the deposit of $200. 2 weeks after I signed a contract and paid all fees I had contacted the day care center regarding unforseen circumstances I was facing that would prevent my child from attending the center. I requested the deposit I paid to be returned since the academic year did not start.The [redacted] was very rude and said that I am not getting anything back since I signed the contract. On multiple occasions I tried to reach the [redacted] of the center and was transferred to "[redacted]". This person never tried to resolve the issue and kept saying that I will not get anything back. I asked if I can talk to the [redacted] of the Center directly and I was never connected. I tried to contact their day care center in Flushing trying to reach the [redacted] and was never transferred also. The [redacted] took my last name and phone number but noone called me back. I went to the center and tried to make an appointment to see the [redacted] but noone helped me and all they said to me was "You can sue us if you want but you will not get your money back."Desired Settlement: I understand that application fee is not refundable and I request only the security deposit of $200 back.

Again, the security deposit is only refunded in the tuition. The language cannot be more clear in our contract.

Again, all of our staff clearly understand our policies on registration fees and security deposit. And it's never a case by case basis.

Again, our director has spoken to you many times on this issue. And she is not a director assistant. We hope that you do treat her with respect.

Our center is proud in our services and we do not appreciate that the parent keeps on making unfounded accusations. Our revenue comes from our loyal parents who really appreciate what we have done for their children and not security deposits. Please do understand that we need to uphold our policies.

Review: In April 2014,I registered my 4 year old son to enroll in UPK program starting September 2014 with this daycare. I paid $100 registration fee and $200 deposit toward the tuition for September 2014. When I put down the deposit, I was told the $100 registration fee is not refundable, as stated on the receipt I received. Sometime in June, I decided to enroll my child in UPK at a different daycare due to some negative feedbacks I got for this daycare. So I called them up to tell them I changed my mind. I understand the $100 registration fee is not refundable, but I wanted my $200 deposit back. They refused to give the $200 back to me. They said the $200 can only be applied toward the tuition. They said on the agreement #3 states "The parent agrees to pay a security deposit of $200 at the time of registration. This amount will be applied to my final month's tuition, provided the Center is notified in writing at least 30 days in advance". To me, since we never started the class and the service was never rendered, and I notified them 2 months in advance, they should give back the $200 back to me. Please advise and help. Thanks!Desired Settlement: I want my $200 deposit back.
