Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2016/05/18) */

I am in receipt of your letter dated May 11th, 2016, which was received on May 16, 2016. In the letter you state that you have sent previous letter and have received no response. I would...

like to state that this letter is the first correspondences we have received from your organization. We respond to every letter that is received by our company.
In response to the complaint of a broken cook top, there are a few things that have to be explained.
First,: the cook top was original to the house which was built in the 1970's making it quite old.
Second,: who even installed the original cook top, forced it into the cabinet below making it very hard to remove. The cabinet drawer glides and other parts of the cabinet fell apart when removing the old counter top which was nailed down with spikes, making it very difficult not to damage the cabinets.
Third: We provided a new cook top for the customer when the old original one cracked. The husband accepted the new cook top, stating he was selling the house anyway. He also paid for it.
Fourth: There was never any mention in our proposal of hooking up any stove top, either old or new. See proposal.
Fifth: We returned to the customers house to cut the counter top for the larger cook top that they had purchased. At that time we also had to cut and modify the cabinet to accept the new larger cook top. We also repaired all the issues with th drawer slides an cabinet issues. None of this was part of the proposal.
Sixth: We state on our selection sheet which was signed by the customer, that we cannot be held responsible for any damage or breakage of used sinks, cook tops, garbage disposals, dishwashers or faucets. See selection sheet.
In conclusion, we would like to state that we try to install materials with the utmost care but cannot always install old outdated equipment without incident. We feel we have done out part of the contract - even more. The original cook top was accepted by the husband until the wife came home and didn't approve of it. We take all situations with respect to our company seriously and try to resolve any of these. In this instants we believe the afore going statements show the sequence of things that happen on this job.
Any question please contact our company at 330-225-3400.
