Review: They were to clean up after my basement flooded July 3, 2013. When they arrived on July 9, 2013 and surveyed the damage that needed cleaning up. I was told that "you did most of the work". They were referring to the carpet and padding were pulled up and taken out back. We had sawed all the walls in all rooms 2 feet up from the floor to prevent mold and mildew (per insurance requirements). The work that I had done 2 days before they arrived took over 14 hours. I was told that they were going to bring in some fans and dehudifiers for 24 to 48 hours. By day three, over 48 hrs, they had not picked the equipment up. I was not told that I needed it past the 48 hrs. There was conflicts with their scheduling to come and do the work: pick up trash and dispose of it. They would receive a call and leave in the middle of what they were doing.I got the bill in the mail, itemized, totaling $2,445.95.(one of the emails I sent to clarify the bill follows)Hi [redacted],I've been needing to contact you about the charges on the bill I received.I was under the impression that we only needed the fans and dehumidifier for 2 to 3 days. I understand there was a problem with getting to the house to get the work completed due to your schedule. I see there are charges for 4 days. I recall you saying that we did most of the work. Does your charges include what you would have had to do if we did not complete what we did?Also, do I get a guarantee against mold and mildew with the price of the $2400.00?I'd like to get this clarified before I pay the $2400.00Thank you for your consideration of this matterEmail sent 10/16/13 I have reviewed the bill numerous times. I figured by removing at least one day for use of the fans and dehumidifier (due to equipment not being picked up as stated), the total amount due is $2198.00I will mail in this amount, unless I hear back from you otherwise.I received a notice today for a late fee of $122.30 in addtion to the other. I did not hear back from th.Desired Settlement: I would like for Rainbow International to remove this late fee along with the extra 24 hrs I was charged for equipment that they did not pick up as scheduled. I will be willing to pay the $2,200.00, even though I think they are overcharging me for their services.I appreciate you assistance with this matter.[redacted]
