unhelpful and unfriendlyYes I had a representative come to my house on sat 01/04/2014 to demo the rainbow vaccuum. They sales mans name was [redacted]. First of all we were never told that both me and my husband had to be there for the demo. When the appt was set up number one we should have been told then but wasn't. [redacted] demonstrated both the vaccuum and the rainmate system. I went through the demo and talked to him about the options for the payments and I had told him that I would need to talk to my husband about which option to do whether it be purchase a new one or get one that was refurbished. I was told on sat by [redacted] that if I wanted to upgrade to the upgrade on the power nozzle that I could and pay extra on the monthly payment to pay for it. We both then had decided to get the refurbished one and I had called him back on 01/05/2014. When I called [redacted] back we decided on a meeting time and place. He brought the vaccuum to me and showed me how to work everything and helped me load up and left. I had forgotten to ask him a question about the cleaner so I had called him to ask him how old the cleaner was. I was told that it was 6 yrs old. After doing some investigation on it come to find out that it was actuall almost 10 yrs old. So was told the wrong date and info on that. After talking to my husband again we had decided not to keep the cleaner so I had called [redacted] back for him to come and pick the machine back up that we wasn't going to keep it. He stated to me that he couldn't come back that day and that he would come back by on tuesday 01/07/15 to pick it up. While I was talking to him I told him that would be fine. Never once did I tell him that I would leave my car unlocked for him to get the machine. When he came to pick up the machine on 01/07/14 he took it upon his self to go in my car and get the machine out without my permission. At that point I was highly MAD. I called and spoke with [redacted] boss. (His bosses name is [redacted] and he is located in the Kernersville office.) His boss listened to what I had to say and told me that he would call [redacted] and get his side of the story and that he would call me back. I never heard anything from him the following day so I called [redacted] to see what was going on. [redacted] told me that pretty much what I had told him is what [redacted] had told him. I then called [redacted] back today on 01/09/2014 to talk to him yet again and once [redacted] got on the phone he had a attitude and started asking me personal questions about my car. He asked me did I normally leave my car unlocked and I told him no I dont and maybe my car didnt lock when I hit the button. Me personally he should have never asked me that. He then told me that there was nothing else he could help me with and started yelling. I stated to [redacted] that I would be contacting the law about the incident. I am writing this to state that number one we were given false information and that the customer service reps that they have are not very friendly and not willing to work with you and gives out false information. Desired SettlementJust trying to get some help so that other customers that see the demo are not given the wrong information. I am wanting to get a rainbow vaccuum but will NEVER go through these people to get it. Maybe try and get the rainmate machine that we were told that we would get if we watched the demo for the machine. Business Response The appointment was set at her friends house that talk to her and the rainbow salesman over the phone and was told that husband and wife had to watch the demo together or couple watch together. If you notice in her statement that she typed get rainmate if we (husband and wife) watch demo of the rainbow. Three people were instant set at her friends house and the other people had no problems with there gifts. Her husband was there when the salesman and his son arrived and said he had to leave and couldn't watch demo. They was given a vacation package and was not suppose to get that if Husband and wife or couple doesn't watch demo together the whole demo which the vacation should be given back to the rainbow office. [redacted] stated that she was going to get financing in some other persons name. Program for a used Rainbow could be financed for either 900.00 machine for $75 dollars a month or a 400.00 machine at $50.00 a month at the office with a $300 to 100 dollar down payment. Was told if she wants new equipment it has to financed with a finance company. Everything was clearly stated in texting over the phone and on the actual receipt. The salesman met her at her job location during her lunch hour in the parking lot and sold the Rainbow with proper receipts. The serial numbers were not called in to [redacted] to find out the age of machine which the salesman told her about 6 to 7 years old. It was found out later that it is 9 years 4 months old when it was sold. The Rainbows last along time many decades and the 7 year old machine is the same as up to 12 year old machine approximately. She had a 3 day North carolina business right to cancel written on the receipt and sighned by [redacted]. She did call about 1 hour latter and cancel and said to come get the rainbow and to get it out of the back of her vehicle that would be unlocked and come inside to give back the down payment of $100 dollars. Was told that the Rainbow would be picked up the next morning about 10:30am and was text that everything Rainbow, power nozzle and Rainmate had to be returned before Down payment is refunded. The Three items were picked up at 10:15am and deposit was returned with a check. She is not owed anything from our company.
