Review: I have a gift card from 2008 which I was told via phone by an employee of rainbow nails that I could use toward my manicure and pedicure. it is for $20.00. I amde an appointment for 10/**/13 at 10:00 am via phone confirmation. when I arrived, on schedule at 10:00 am, the shop was closed.at approx. 1:30 pm I received a call that the shop was open and that I could come in. I could not get there until approx. 4:30 after another appointment. when I presented the gift card, I was told by the owner that she would not honor my gift card as the person who told me was a previous owner and that although I was told by whomever answered the phone and scheduled the appointment the previous day, that my gift card would be honored. I tried to convince the owner that she should honor the gift card. I had made 2 trips now and called numerous times in the morning wondering why noone was answering the phone when I had an appointment scheduled. I was so disgusted that I refused to pay the additional money this would now cost me even though I had a social event to attend.I feel that this is unfair business practice and that I should be allowed to use the gift card toward all services and that because they were not able to honor my scheduled appointment that the services should be offered for free. the total amount of what I wanted is $35.00 and at present, I will not recommend this nail salon to anyone, nor will I go there. they have created ill-will with me and I am now coming to Revdex.com to see whether you can help me right this wrong.thank you.sincerely,[redacted]Desired Settlement: I want the $35 of services which I was denied due to this companies reneging on their offer to accept my gift card and not honoring my scheduled visit. I believe that this is fair and just as I would do this had the circumstances been reversed.

Regarding the gift card. The gift card was purchased back in 2008 and during the ownership of the 2 owners ago. The store had since then changed ownership twice and already and is now a different store with different name. since the gift card was not purchased under my ownership and had long passed the normal expectancy of a normal store gift card. It would be hard for us to honor something that was of a different store name. It would be like best buy accepting a gift card from target, something totally impossible.

[redacted] came in that day and made the appointment for 10 AM, However, due to traffic the store was delayed to open and we quickly called back and made the appointment again. Regarding the delay and missed appointment as a courtesy for this we could provide 35 dollar worth of service in from our store.

If that would be sufficient with [redacted], we will welcome her. If not then we apologize for the experience and do wish that she will find a place she feel more comfortable with.

I HAVE CALLED THE SALON 2X'S AND AM SO DISGUSTED WITH THE WORKERS THERE WO ARE TOTALLY DISHONEST AND HAVE GIVEN ME THE RUN-AROUND THAT I TOLD [redacted] THAT UNLESS THE [redacted] CALLED ME YESTERDAY THAT I WOULD DO WHATEVER I HAD TO DO.MY TIME IS PRECIOUS AND I DO NOT NEED THEIR OBNOXIOUS BEHAVIOR PROBLEMS TO UPSET ME.[redacted] SAID THAT [redacted] WOULD BE IN ON SUNDAY, I TOLD HER THIS IS MY SECOND PHONE MESSAGE AND THEY HAVE NOT MADE ANY EFFORT TO REOLVE THIS MATTER.I AM REQUESTING THAT YOU LIST THEM AND EXPOSE THEM FOR THE DISREPUTABLE BUSINESS PEOPLE THAT THEY ARE ON YOUR WEBSITE. THEY ARE A DISGRACE AND SHOULD LOOSE WHATEVER BUSINESS THIS POSTING COSTS THEM AS THE BAD APPLES NEED TO BE EXPOSED AND SHUNNED. THEY ARE A DIME A DOZEN, PLEASE GOOD, HONEST PEOPLE SEEK OUT THE BUSINESS PEOPLE WHO HAVE VALUES AND SHUN THE OTHERS. THANK YOU DISGUSTED.
