To whom it may concern,
In response to Mr***’s response, from what he wrote and my last response one can deduce that this was a case of to many chiefsMr*** says he ordered one thing but there is another on the actual ticketAnyone who answers
the phone here at our company is very capable of helping our customersIf Mr*** would have said conference chairs he would have received conference chairsWhen Mr*** was here in person he didn’t say conference chair, because, I repeat if he had they would have received themWe do not gain from giving Mr*** the wrong chairsThe simple fact is its always been there in black and white from day oneThe chairs were never changed in two phone exchanges and one in-person visit
Mr*** does not want to acknowledge his part in this “confusion”I stated before the contract is the last line of defense against mistakes, and Mr*** did not read it, admittedlyOur conference chairs are listed as conference chairs and conference chairs are not listed on his contractHe wants to just breeze over that partMr*** also wants to glaze over the fact that it wasn’t just him putting the order inA young lady also called in who I am assuming was his daughter, too many chiefs
We hurriedly tried to make amends with Mr*** and his family for the stage skirtingWhen he came to the store, management heard him out sympathized and offered him a refund on the spotIn my opinion this shows that we are being objective about the situationWe were able to view the stage skirt situation from Mr***’s view point and attempt to remedy that situation
Mr*** also wants to paint the picture that he and his family were on the same page when it came to the overall look they wanted for the wedding, but the fact is reality is quite contraryWhen we first dropped the chairs no one said anything about them being wrongIn fact, my driver says that they just started doing a chair set (setting up chairs) in one of the roomsNow if everybody was on the same page and the chairs were wrong, then I would want to believe that someone would have said something then and there, but no one didNot until Mr*** arrived was anything said about the chairsThese chairs could not possibly ruin a wedding, because these are one of the most popular wedding chairs, rented on par with chivari chairs or maybe even rented moreThey are all white, sturdy and have a premium lookIf they had said the chairs were wrong then there would have been enough time to switch them outNone of this though changes the fact that we delivered what he signed forOur offer remains the same

I am rejecting this response because:
Rainbow Party Rentals had previously offered a refund for the $for the skirt (which was never used). This offer was retracted only because I told them that I was filing a complaint with the Revdex.com. This $should have already been refunded to me2. 2. A store credit does absolutely nothing for me. I was so unsatisfied with my previous transaction, that I would not do business with them again3. 3. As to having signed for the chairs, since “folding chairs” were not specified on the contract, I assumed I was renting conference chairs as I had previously discussed with one of their employees by phone

it was back at store we did and it worked fine again sent you a video if it working , we couldn't recreate your problem therefore it had to be an issue on your end We have an emergency after hours number on our contract that you are supposed to call if you have any issues we received no calls from you until after the event on Monday morning your event was Saturday evening As far as not responding the manager on duty Johnnie B[redacted] did return your calls and explained the situation to youThat since we couldn't recreate the problem and.the machine worked fine when we picked it up from you and we sent you a video showing you that and it has gone out 9 times since your event and had absolutely no issues we cannot refund We offered you a store credit in the hopes that would show we were trying to make a concession since you had issues with your equipment on your end and offered $30 which is approx 50% of the rental . The rental of the machine was $75 we gave you a coupon for $10 which made it $65 so $30 was approx half of rental the other fees were delivery which was completed and we cannot refund delivery and taxes We feel we did the best we could in this situation and feel the case is closedSincerelyMelissaP[redacted]

Review: I had a contract with Rainbow Rentals (RR) for tent, tables, chairs and linen rental - all white and 8 champagne overlays. My contract states that the delivery date and time is 21 June 2013 @ 12PM. I had also spoken to [redacted] on 2 occasions to schedule the delivery and he initially wanted to put it for early in the day and I stated that I have an appointment in the morning can we aim for mid-day and he stated "Yes, I have you on for the window of 12-2, will that work?" I stated "Yes, that will give me time to get to the site". On Friday I called at 11:32 I was told "You should be the next stop" - @ 3:05 "They aren't picking up but they should almost be done” @ 4:43 - (a women tells me) they weren’t ever going to be there until late - but no time given 5:32 ([redacted] calls me) They will be there at 6PM they are finishing up now @ 6:59 - I call and there is no answer. 7:20~ they show up! It is now sunset and I am unable to properly review all items for cleanliness and correctness. I speak with the [redacted] the delivery person about proper procedure for their pick up and he states "place them, the table clothes, in there (pointing at the bin) and leave under the tent and we will get everything". I remind him (as I move my feet around) that the grass becomes moist is that ok?" he says "Yes, it will be fine". I've missed the entire day needed to finish last minute preparation and it's dark. I arrive in the morning to find that some of the chairs and linens have stains, the overlay is much darker and heavier that explained. We don't end up using the overlays at all. We are forced to rush to make up for time lost on the day before and I have to pay for extra man hours to make up the difference. I receive a call late Monday stating they will not be coming out to the site to pick up items due to weather. They will pick up on Tuesday. My contract states that my rental period ended on 24 Jun at 12PM, which was Monday at noon therefore I was no longer responsible for their product. On Thursday evening 6/27 I get an email about damage to linens, which I first question why it took from Tuesday to Thursday for them to get in contact with me. Also, to note that when we left the linens there was no damage at all and nothing blue in the container. This evening I receive a final invoice with additional charges for damages but the invoice also shows that they did not take in the rental items until 27 June 2013 @ 9:27AM. With that in mind it is to say they left the linens in a bin from Monday to Thursday morning with two of those days being out in the elements. I have a voicemail that states they are not going to pick up until Tuesday because they are stuck in DC not because of weather or anything else. The voicemail also states that it will be of no charge to me for them picking it up late. They delayed in initial delivery, they delayed in pick-up - however they were aware that they had linens on that site which was only 15 minutes from their office.Desired Settlement: Refund of the following: Delivery fee - $150, Wrong Linen $242.62, Damaged Goods $244.95, Lost time $108 = Total $745.57

I hope this message finds you well. Attached is Rainbow Rentals' response to the complaint by [redacted]. Thank you.

Review: 1) I needed rental chairs and equipment for my daughters wedding which was on the 12th of July, I contacted 'Rainbow Rentals' and specifically ordered 70 non-folding padded chairs. On the day of the wedding, the rental delivered the wrong chairs and refused to change it back to the ones I ordered yet charged me $273 for the wrong chairs.

2) I also needed what is called a skirt for the stage of the wedding event in the color white but instead the rental delivered black skirt with which our decorator refused to work but the rental refused to exchange it for the one that we paid $84 to have.

3) When I confronted the management about the issue about the skirt he offered to refund the $84 dollars but refused to compensate me for the chairs so when I said that I will file a grievance he got angry and took the $84 back also.

4) I spent a total of $808.94 and did not get a dime back for the inconvenience that the company has caused my daughter's wedding.Desired Settlement: I would like to be compensated for my inconvenience as well as refunded for the chairs I did not order and the skirt I did not order.
