Rainbow Vacuums of Raleigh- Blackwell Distributing

I had a salesman to come into my home and do demo with the Rainbow Vacuum Cleaner. At the end of the demo he started going over the price of Rainbow which came out to about $2300.00. At that time I told him that I was going to pass ** the getting the vacuum because it was close to the holidays and didn't want to pay that amount for the vacuum. So he starts telling me about all these other payment options and he gets to the $25 down and about $85 a month. So I said that was something that I could do and with started the paperwork. To my understanding and listening to him this form of payment was not based on credit approval and I made perfectly clear to him that I did not want my credit pulled just to purchase and Rainbow Vacuum and he assured me that it wasn't going to be pulled. So he leaves and then calls me back about a week later and says that my credit didn't go through and was coming back to pick up the machine. I then asked him why did he have to run my credit when I chose a plan that didn't require that. He stated to me that all of the plans require it. I stated to him that this was not what you discussed with me in my home when you tied up 3 hrs of my day doing this demo. Just to sum this up the salesman did not have my approval to run my credit, he then lied to me about the vacation I was suppose to receive just for him showing me the machine, not to mention the other 10 people that he profited because of me. I sold my Kirby Vacuum that was in perfect condition on the pretense that I had a new Rainbow and no I am stuck without anything to vacuum with. To top it off his manager or owner of the company came to pickup the machine because I was so upset with his salesman I did not want him on any of my property. The owner stood on my front porch and promised me that he would have someone or even himself to come and bring me a replacement vacuum and the has been two weeks ago and I have not heard from him or received a replacement.Desired SettlementI would like to have the a replacement vacuum at equal value to my Kirby machine. If they can not honor that then I will pursue other measures. Business Response /[redacted]/Mr. [redacted] filled out a credit application for credit to purchase a Rainbow Cleaning system. He signed the application that states he approves the company to run his credit. His application was denied because of his credit history. Because of this he was not approved and we had to pick up the Rainbow. We are not responsible to replace the vacuum he sold, however, because he sold his vacuum and couldn't get approved for the Rainbow, we agreed to give him another vacuum out of the goodness of our company. We have delivered him a vacuum in which we have no obligation to do so. We have fulfilled our promises with this person. We can send a copy of the application for credit he signed and a picture of the vacuum we delivered back. In closing, I told Mr. [redacted] if he had a problem setting his vacation up with the company we use, please give me a call. I have received no calls from this person about any of these concerns.
