To Whom It May Concern,We have reviewed the additional information supplied by Mr***The account forDate of Service August 8, was assigned to collections on December 9, Ourfirst notice was sent December 12, to Mr*** at *** *** *** **, Marysville,WA 98270-(no mail was returned); the second notice was sent February 5, 2014.The second account for Date of Service january 2, was assigned to collections onMay 8, 2014, and our first notice was sent May 12,to the same address noted above.The telephone number provided by our client to reach Mr*** (***-***-** **) wasapparently not a good number, but he was sent notices prior to being served at thatsame address
After Mr*** was served a summons and complaint on September 12, 2015, he calledand said he was seen in the emergency room on January 2, but did not recall a visiton August 18, In speaking with our client, they confirmed that, on both dates ofservice, *** P*** was the patient
Had Mr*** responded to our earlier notices, we would have provided him with acopy of the North Sound Emergency Medicine invoices which itemize the assignedbalancesWe have mailed him that information todayIn addition, Mr*** is urgedto contact Providence Hospital at ***-***-*** and confirm with them that there areseparate facility bills for those datesThe hospital will have more information taken onthe dates of service which, due to HIP AA regulations, they may divulge only to Mr.***Also, his insurance would have provided him an Explanation of Benefits whenthe paid the claim for January 2,

Complaint: ***The information given by Ranier collection company isn't trueI was never given an explanation of the bill or a chance to pay itI was told one bill was a collection from and another was from The collection supervisor did not have the information when I called and told me that she would call me back the following dayThey had a phone number that was not associated with me and I gave them my current phone numberI have never received a bill or a phone call from this companyI never knew I had a medical bill until I was served a summons and Ranier collection agency refused to give me information or work with meThey immediately moved to litigation so they could add on their fees and attempt to settle medical bills that didn't belong to meThe bills that I'm being charged for are not mineThey have not been able to prove that these bills are mine and we're quick to litigation. To this date I never received an type of complaint until I was served papers for litigation. The phone number that Rainier Collections provided for me has never been associated with me. I was never sent any type of letter or statement reguarding an amount owed on a collections.  I tried to work with the company when I called them after receiving the court summons and was told that they would not give me any information and how was I planning on paying. They had no intention of working with me. They added several court costs to a bill and told me that's what I owed. I gave the collections manager my current phone number and was told I would be called within 3 day . I was never called by Rainier collections and they went to litigation instead to collect money on false charges and a bill that doesn't belong to me. I believe their main purpose was to get as much money as possible from me and they accomplished that by not working with me or even giving me a simple phone call. Their business practices are unethical and are quick to litigation to make as much money as possible on aNY outstanding debt that comes before them. I deny that the bill was mine but they didn't care and just wanted money to settle any collections that came to their company. Sincerely,[redacted]

complaint.
Two accounts were assigned to collections by North Sound Emergency Medicine(Emergency Room Physicians at Providence Medical Center, Everett). The first,#[redacted], on December 9, 2013 for August 18, 2012 services ($386.00), the second,#[redacted] on May 8, 2014 for services provided on january 2, 2014. The August 2012 visitwas submitted as a worker's compensation claim but was denied as not work related.The later visit ($757.00) was submitted to Group Health insurance which paid $563.60.An insurance discount of $113.55 was applied, leaving a personal balance of $79.85.
Notices were mailed and phone calls made to Mr. [redacted]'s residence. It was found thatMr. [redacted] worked nights. With no response to notices or daytime calls, our clientauthorized us to file suit. We continued to call his residence with only a busy signal orno answer resulting.
Mr. [redacted] was personally served with a Summons and Complaint on September 12,2015 at his residence. He called our office on September 14th and spoke to thecollections supervisor. When she informed Mr. [redacted] of the account information, heindicated that he was aware of the January 2014 visit but not the 2012 date, and thoughtthat it might not be his, but belong to another [redacted]. At our request, North SoundEmergency Medicine reviewed the hospital records for the personal informationsupplied on each of the dates of service and confirmed that they were identical, that thiswas the same patient on both dates, and that they had sent him several notices before the accounts were assigned for collection.
Mr. [redacted] did not respond in writing to the Summons and Complaint and a DefaultJudgment was awarded on October 7th.
