Materials are guaranteed by Mftr for yrs, work is by installer My previous roofing was guaranteed for years and failed in yrs, when I tried to have them redo it I Found they were out od business and I could do nothing about it No this time the installer is out of business and I am stuck with repair cost

Sir/Ma'am,I have had a chance to review the allegations made by Mrs***, and feel several points need to be made in regards to who signed the contract, set terms, made weather and schedule terms, etcI have never spoken with *** ***, every single conversation, the contract, the
subsequent myriad of phone calls and texts was done via her husband *** ***The only interaction I have had with Mrs*** was her countless profanity-laced voicemail messages which her husband repeatedly apologized for, and her repeated hostile interactions with my crewThe issues I have with her position are as follows;- *** was asked repeatedly to allow us to build this roof last year (fall 2014)He declined this option and set it for spring 2015, where we would call when we began building as weather allowed, and allow him to select a rough schedule which we would do our best to followDaily rain, temperature issues, etcall play a part in Wisconsin building - especially our roofing projects - and he was aware of this at the signing of the contractWhen we began to see suitable temperatures for building this spring, which was a late start, to be fair, with sporadic rain and low temperatures often - we reached out to *** in late April and offered him our 2nd roof to be scheduled (one had signed before him last fall)*** again declined, and stated his position to have consistent temperatures in the 60'sI advised that we could attempt to meet this threshold, but our manufacturers allow us to build as low as degrees, we have other customers who will allow us to do so, and we would call back when we saw this type of consistent temperature threshold met consistently in our area.- We spoke again in mid-May, and it was not until June that we saw this cold wet spring allow us to begin scheduling with the ***'sPlease note that we had successfully built roofs at this point***'s statement that we simply delayed for months is ridiculous - we continued to build, the spring weather was very difficult to work with this year, but still completed projects at this point.- When we finally agreed with *** *** to move forward, we were in mid season, had other customers ahead of him, and also we being told that his special order shingles were going to take almost times as long to get in, could not be expedited through my supply houses, and we were promised date after date from our supply chain which resulted in re-scheduling with *** (not ***), many times - this is not something I will argue, but the basis for these delays leads to me to believe that *** and *** either never speak to one another, or *** just wants to ignore this basic product availability fact to bolster her claims of intentional delays- We agreed to pursue another shingle in July to move the project forward, which was still special order, but available at the Owens Corning plant for shipping sooner than his previous selectionWe ordered it, and stated we would begin as soon as it arrived from the factory, was offloaded at my supply house, and could be delivered to their home; this point is again lost on ***, who left dozens of fake customer voicemail's, profanity-laced tirades, and out and out threats against myself and my company for this perceived INTENTIONAL delay; in fact, the product was delivered to her home less than hours after being unloaded at my supply house, and tear off had already been started on her home by my crew- We worked on her roof down a shingler from injury, and split time between the other jobs which I would have preferred to finish before starting the *** job, except for the incessant calls and texts from an obviously emotionally distressed woman whom I had never even met*** *** continued to apologize for his wife's behavior, was pleasant to speak and work with during our time on the job, and steadied his wife as best he couldNumerous times he mentioned she was "going to give herself a stroke" in front of my crew - this is what we dealt with throughout the project time frame.- bundles of these special order shingles came in damaged - and we were forced to order additional material to complete the job*** was kind enough to find them as an option at Lowes with a quicker delivery schedule than my supply house, and he did do this for us - it was MUCH appreciated*** screamed about this setback as well.- Her analogy of the gutter apron being missed during installation is correct - a mistake by my roofing crew chief, but resolved at my cost, and correctly- Her comments about me cashing a check for the (completed) project before she received her waive of lien are ridiculous as well - I spoke to *** about pieces of equipment left on his property, and we joked about an "exchange" of the compressors for his lien waiverwhich was not neededI sent him his lien waiver days before picking up my equipment from his homeAnother non-problem either missed entirely by ***, or intentionally misconstrued to make her case- The final bill was sent to *** *** for review days before I was finally paid out onIt is hardly possible that she felt pressured to pay, or did not have time to look over the (discounted) invoice in this period of time, unless again, she is simply not in communication with her own husbandThis is speculation, but I have no idea how she continues to plead ignorance on these facts yet claim to have firsthand knowledge of every other issue mentioned in this complaintI have yet to ever speak to this woman. In closing,I do feel that things could have gone better with this jobThe vast majority of them were simply out of my control; unrealistic temperature thresholds, finally accepting scheduling mid-season, special order product with delays, etcThe limited crew because of injury, the gutter apron issue - these fall on me directlyI apologize profusely for the stress this has obviously caused ***, and to some extent, ***She did acknowledge the quality of the finished product, so I do applaud her efforts to at least mention this important fact - that in the end they were happy with the product and labor provided to themFeel free to contact me directly for further clarifications or questions.Sincerely,*** ***JTS RoofingOwner###-###-####

Sir/Madam,all repairs have been completed as of Wednesday 9/24/Our original repair date last Thursday completed the items listed by Mrs*** in this specific complaint, but she also noted another item during our appointment which we scheduled for this weekI was personally out at the
job site this morning to verify all items (at least as far what she requested/noted to-date) are complete to my satisfactionOf course, she has the final say as the homeowner in this regardI look forward to resolving this matter, which at this point is simply confirming what we have stated/completed with Mrs***In spite of her trepidation regarding contacting myself, or JTS Roofing, I was happy to serve Mrs***, and have no issues whatsoever in warranting and servicing her home should the need arise under our warranty termsSincerely,*** *** ***
