Charged for medical bill I was was charged for medical bill that was paid by the insurance company. I called my insurance company and they stated that I should not have been charged. My insurance company have called the number listed on the claim that have been paid and was told they have no record of this claim. The insurance company have record that this was paid to Raleigh Emergency Medicine Assoiciates. My insurance company is still trying to get in touch with someone regarding this claim. I should not have been charged the plan discount of $291.80. I received a phone call from [redacted] collection resources and was told this need to be paid or my credit would be marked. [redacted] -[redacted] Health Care -provider [redacted] charged me the plan discount of S291.80. My is insurance is still trying to talk to someone at [redacted] Healthcare. I need this resolved ! How can [redacted] have no records on field for this claim when it was filed by [redacted] and my insurance paid to [redacted]Desired SettlementI was charged the amount of the Plan discount . We've also explained the responsibility of the carrier to process claims in compliance with Senate Bill 455, the law for NC Emergency Room services in conjunction with staying in compliance with the law for plans that are Fully-funded. The origin of the problem is the erroneous way the patient's claim has been processed with the patient's primary insurance carrier. They are working to correct the problem which caused a chain effect with the patients secondary carrier. We are all working to resolve the patients complaint. Final Resolution should occur within 60 days.
