Review: I took my car for a $37.00 NY State inspection as well as a 60K maintenance service recommended by Lexus Manufacturers.

I went to see the bench experts so called service salespeople Charles F[redacted]. He told me ok leave the car and we will call you in an hour.

He called me and to my utter shock he said the bill will be $3848.00 for some power steering work that they have to administer and until that is done he cannot issue the inspection sticker. I said then please do not work on my vehicle at all as I am not comfortable paying that amount for a vehicle which I bought brand new 6 years ago and I might go for an upgrade.

Later he called me he said we are doing the inspection and the 60K maintenance for $796.00

I said ok as long as I have vehicle inspected , which I double confirmed with him, I will pay that amount.

He called me later stating the vehicle was ready and I should pick it up and he will be there till 6:00PM

When I reached there at 4:45 he had left for the day, which made me very suspicious because half hour ago he told me he will be there till 6:00

Anyways the other rep told me to pay the invoice and you are good to go and they will bring the car out for you

When I was going to make the payment I double checked with the receptionist if the inspection was done. She answered yes and there was a $37.00 charge plus the rest of the $759.00 for the 60K maintenance.

I paid the bill in full and then they brought my car out.

I checked and to my utter disappointment there was no inspection sticker.

I went back in and they said we could not do that. I said I had strongly told him not to do any service if I cannot get the inspection. They said we don't know as the salesman is not here , who had conveniently disappeared.

I had been scammed and cheated. There was no problem with the car I take it for regular maintenance and I brought a brand new Lexus brand car not any old or refurbished car.

This business' service department is screwing people of there hard earned money by falsely jacking up the repair and then overcharging for the services they don't even perform.Desired Settlement: I wan them to refund my full amount as I did not authorize him for these repairs after he told me the amount of $3848.00

Response:

I feel horrible the customer feels this way. Once a N.Y. State inspection request goes on a repair order, I'm under the impression it cannot be removed. This being said, therein lies the problem. Charlie informed the customer of a leaking power steering rack which is an expensive job and the customer declined this part of the service. The customer did however need a 60,000 mile service and approved this to be done, but didn't understand that the car would not pass inspection here or at any other facility. The customer has now called and complained that his new paver driveway has stains on it and is suggesting we are responsible.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

There was no power steering leak when I took it to the dealership and it was made up or caused to the vehicle to add more service charges. Even when Charlie called me to report the power steering leak I said if there would be something like this I will see the leak or something dripping on my driveway. Being brand new pavers I see even a drop of water on the bricks. As soon as I brought the car back it has started leaking. Also me and my husband we both told Charlie not to do any kind of work as we will rather upgrade to a new car instead of all the hassle. And then he called my husband and said we can do both the inspection and the maintenance . My husband repeatedly asked to make sure the inspection sticker was there and he said overtime YES and disappearing at the time of pick up when the entire staff is there speaks volume of the customer service he is providing. He did not want to meet me because he could not stand behind what he has told me and my husband and was tricking us all the way.We strongly told him not to do any maintenance if we are not getting the inspection sticker as we rather go for an upgrade of the car to a newer model

Review: I bought a Lexus Extra Care Vehicle Service Contract May ** 2006 for $1,675.81 with expiration date May **, 2013 (84 months). The amount of $1,675.81 is refundable to me if no claims had been made, i.e., non-use of the benefits of the service contract. Since I met the criteria, I submitted my claim as directed to Signet Financial Group, Western Regional Processing Unit, [redacted]. The correspondence was returned undeliverable. I contacted Rallye Lexus and was told to bring the necessary documents and they will handle the matter. I asked how long this would take and they said 30 days. It is almost 2 months now and I have not obtained my check. I have called several time to speak to one [redacted] the person I was advised to speak with as he was handling these claims but several attempts to reach him or to have him return my calls have failed. This is why I decided to ask your assistance.Desired Settlement: Refund $1,679.81 the purchase price of my service contract agreement, under the terms of the service contract refund agreement for my ES300 2002 Lexus car.

Business

Response:

Signet Financial Group is a company that has gone out of business. Signet insurance was insurance sold all over the country to insure service contracts purchased by the consumer. These agreements clearly state, "That performance under this contract is the sole responsibility of SFG and is not to be construed as an obligation on the part of the dealer." I will try to help any customer with discounts on there next purchase or services needed on there cars should they still own them.

Review: My wife and I were in the dealership on 8/**/13. We left a deposit on a car lease for $309.84. On 8/** (Sunday) and 8/** (Monday) we called to cancel deal and receive our deposit back. We finally reached the salesman on 8/** (Monday) and he assured us our deposit will be refunded. On 8/** we spoke to the salesman (after him telling us we will not be receiving our deposit back because they already "prepped" the car. We then spoke with the sales manager. Told us we had to wait several weeks before a refund was processed. We went back to the dealer that same morning and try to receive our refund back in person. Gave sales manager back our credit card so a refund can be issued. As of today (9/*/13), no credit has been issued on our crdit card.Desired Settlement: Full refund

Review: I found an advertisement for a vehicle on sale by Rallye Lexus. Vehicle is [redacted] with Vin# [redacted] and current miles of 3243. This vehicle is priced at $ 28,119 at their own website i.e. [redacted]. Also, they have advertised the vehicle at website [redacted] for $ 27,619. I have screenshots for both the price. Value of $ 27,619 also provides Price Protection Certificate thru Truecar.com in the form of email that I possess. But, while contacting the dealership sales person Gene was very rude throughout our conversation and denied to sale the vehicle to me. In fact she refused to give further information on the vehicle although, at first she told me that vehicle is still available for sale. I can think of worse behavior than this from a Lexus dealership and they fail to honor their own advertised price on the website while they say that they are very loyal to customers and truthful in their transactions with customers. This is really disgraceful for a Lexus dealership in a prime location of New York and I really want to purchase this vehicle with cash money and wanted to book the vehicle asap. They did not let me do it and I lost more than 8-10 hours of my time contacting them and lodging complaint against them. They did not even provide the [redacted] report being a certified Lexus dealer and I pulled [redacted] report myself by paying money out of my pocket. This is very bad and unexpected and need a resolution ASAP.Desired Settlement: I would like to be contacted by the business Rallye Lexus and they should honor their advertised price on the particular vehicle I was interested. This vehicle was still available when I contacted them but they denied selling me the vehicle even though they have advertised the price in their own website and other public websites. I have screenshots for the same. So, I need to get this vehicle 2014 Lexus ES350 Vin - [redacted] at offered prices i.e. $ 27,619.
