To Whom it may concern,

I have reviewed your correspondence regarding the above referenced complaint, and I can provide you with the following information on the matter.

I am not exactly sure who *** is in relation to our actual client, but we were hired by our client (***), to replace the roof of this property in late 2015. There were no calls from our client or their representatives on a possible workmanship warranty of any kind until Spring of 2020, almost 5 years after completing the roof installation.

In March of 2020 *** called our office claiming that the roofing had failed and there was a leak resulting in the damage of drywall in the ceilings of the home's interior, In response to this call one of our employees performed an inspection of the roof and found no workmanship related items. The employee advised *** of his findings at that time and that there would be no corrections performed by RAM under warranty.

In May of 2020 *** called our office again claiming that the roof was leaking and that someone from her insurance company had inspected the roof in March and determined there were workmanship items that did in fact required repair/correction. She spoke with our Construction Manager (Rob A) at this time and he requested that she provide the written report from her insurance company that she referenced in her claim. She was unable to provide the written report as requested and it was determined that it was most likely our employee she recalls coming to the property and not the insurance company representative. The basis for this determination was that her particular insurance company (***) has a strict policy of not allowing their employees to climb on or access any roof greater than 1 story above ground level and this particular property is a 2 story structure.

Despite the inability to provide the requested documentation and to resolve the matter, we sent an employee back out to perform another inspection and attempt to determine the leak in question. During this follow up visit, the employee inspected the attic of the residence, in the area above the water stains he found an HVAC line that was dripping water onto the insulation and drywall of the ceiling. *** was advised of these findings and was provided photos of the area and of the water dripping from the HVAC line. *** was also advised that this issue absolutely had nothing to do with the roofing replacement almost 5 years prior and RAM would not be responsible for any repairs relating to the water leak. It appears that *** refuses to accept the facts of this matter and has called our office several times to state that her insurance company has said it is our responsibility and we need to fix it. Each call has resulted in her speaking with Rob A about this matter and he has restated our request each time, provide the written report from your insurance company indicating the inspection was performed and the determination of the damages being our responsibility. These requests have all had the same result, no written report being produced by ***.

On the last call with ***, Rob A advised that nothing will change on this matter unless she can provide us with a verifiable report of findings showing that the damages to her ceiling are attributable to the work performed by RAM.

I hope this allows you to complete your review. of the matter and reach the obvious conclusion that this leak from the HVAC in the attic has no relation to a roofing replacement from 2015. Please contact me if you need any further information or documentation. Thank you,

Robert M.
