Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
When the house was purchased, it was put in the addendum to make the basement waterproofed. Ramjack was contacted for this very reason, to completely waterproof our basement. We were told we would have no issues with water anymore, not that there is a possibility that any of those wall cracks that should have been fixed to begin with may start leaking at anytime. Scott was the one who originally worked on it. The warranty is not specific as Ramjack is saying. It simply says that we will not have water issues in the core joints of the house that Ramjack worked on, and now we do. The only catch was if the sump pump stopped working, and it works fine. Therefore, yes, the company is trying to work around their warranty. [redacted] did not tell my wife that the waterproofing  test would not cost something, which is why she refused them in the house. He said we would be responsible for paying. She also turned them away because at the time we were willing to have anyone else fix the situation, since Ramjack clearly has not. But after rethinking the situation, we feel Ramjack is responsible for this and needs to fix it the right way. [redacted] also clearly stated that THEY should have fixed those cracks the first time when the draining system was installed, so how is it fair that they make us repay for that!? His only excuse was the previous owner told them not to, and I have the previous owners word that that is not the case.  If we have to proceed with a lawyer, we will. Not only were we told that we wouldn't have water issues anymore after TWO different occurrences and have paperwork of a warranty, but we had to go buy extra supplies to remove the flood on Christmas day(when we should have been with family and relaxing) and are now going to have to destroy our new drywall.

Apparently the previous owner informed the [redacted]'s the basement has been completely waterproofed and would not leak again. That was not true. The basement was not completely waterproofed. There were multiple wall cracks that had not been repaired; any of them had the potential of leaking water after a heavy rain. We have recently repaired these cracks at no charge to the [redacted]'s. Sincerely,[redacted]|Ram Jack of Louisville

On December 28th 2015 I did an estimate on a shotgun house over 100 years old. The owner of the house, [redacted] who was flipping the house, did not meet me there. The perimeter foundation of the house was made of logs cut from a cedar trees. Approx. half the house had no footer or stem wall. All...

interior floor supports consisted of Logs from a cedar tree buried into the dirt with no support beams. My recommendation was to replace all wood supports with 27 steel column posts on 6 x 6 treated support beams, clean 2 truck loads of debris and install a 6 ml plastic vapor barrier for 11,860. [redacted] was presented with this service plan and agreed to have the work done. We completed the work January 25th. [redacted] did not want to pay us until we had the job inspected by a city plan reviewer. It took several weeks before [redacted] from [redacted] could meet with me at the job site. After seeing our work [redacted]'s comment was "the way you have done this is the only way I can see how to support a foundation in this condition". [redacted] did want us to hire an engineer to verify our work. I hired and met an engineer at the job site on March 28th. The comment from the engineer was "I don't see how you could have done this another way" and "these steel supports should be more than enough to support the floor load of this structure". The only recommendation was that each footer should have a base buried below the frost line. This meant I need to reset each steel post 16" x 16" 24" deep. Ater that was complete and inspected the engineer signed of on our work. In the mean time, [redacted] hire another contractor to do the framing and wanted us to accommodate his plan to frame the structure. My instructions to my crew was to follow the new contractors instruction when resetting our steel posts. We began that work April 11th and completed the work April 15th. The new contractor had an employee sitting in a vehicle everyday we were there. My crew was not given any direction from the the new contractor until after the work was completed. The new contractor wanted me to install LVL's . My comment was, I was not contracted to install LVL's all my work is complete. A few weeks later [redacted] told me that my plan does not accommodate the new contractors plan and he was not going to make money on this property and would I work with him on the amount he paid me. I told him I would help him by discounting the job by 4,000. This is a substantial discount on a job I now had to do twice. A few weeks later [redacted] offered to pay me 5,500 of an original 11,860 job. I asked if he could meet me in the middle and he agreed to pay me 7,000 which he has only paid half of that amount. The next thing I hear from [redacted] is that he was going to attack me on every social media he could. All my work on this project was done in a professional timely manor. We did everything and more than what I told [redacted] we would do. [redacted] has gone from complementing me on how hard I have worked on this project to wanting to destroy my business. I have always ran Ram Jack of Louisville with honesty and integrity. We did not install an inferior product. In fact, Ram Jack steel is the best in the industry. This was obviously not the wrong solution or [redacted] or the engineer would not have approved the plan.

problems have a different repair method. Completely waterproofing a basement is similar to getting a repair done on an vehicle. you can completely have the repair done, but that does not garantee that nothing else will ever go wrong with you vehicle.Ram Jack of Louisville was hired to install a partial Interior Drain Tile system at [redacted] on 5-28-14. The Interior Drain tile system is designed to releive hydrostatic pressure from the floor. On December 13, 2014 Ram Jack of Louisville was hired to install a French Drain on the left side of the home due to water coming in over a wall. On December 13, 2015 I went to 3852 Wayne St. 47150 because water was coming into the basement after a heavy rain. I determined that water was coming into the basement through 4 wall cracks that had not been repaired. The home owner asked me why we did not repair these cracks. The only explanation I had was that we fix what is broke, in this case leaking. At that time there was no evidence water had ever come into the basement. The home owner asked me why did we not repair the cracks since we knew they were there. I explained we did not have authorization to fix the cracks. This is not to blame the previous owner. Not all wall cracks leak.I scheduled a service crew to perform a water test to verify the problem. When the crew arrived the home owner would not let them in. In speaking with the homeowner on the phone, I was told she did not want us at her home and that the previous owner was going to have the wall cracks fixed by another company. There was no charge for the crew to perform a water test. At this point it does not appear that any of the repairs made on this house have failed. The homeowner told me she was told the house was completely waterproofed and should never leak again. That is not true. Her house is not completely waterproofed.
