I got 5 charges on my credit totaling $708.14 after we had paid for two rooms for one night $117.46 each for a total of $234.92 agreed amount.
Booked two rooms for my family (Myself, wife, daughter and two grandsons) on our way to Disney for Spring Break on March 6, leaving on the 7th. We checked out early to continue our trip, got my receipts detailed on Folio 13447 (Room 336) and 13448 (Room 337).
Upon return from the trip I found charges in my credit card ranging from $117.46 which I accept and recognize as valid then other for $25, $170.34 $225. and another $170.34 that I don't recognize. I tried reaching to the manager named "Al" with no avail. No one has reached out to me to explain the charges at this time.

Desired Outcome

Requesting them to reverse the charges, after explaining how these charges came about. One of the front desk clerks told me over the phone that one of the charges was for smoking in the room! This is NOT true. None of the members of my family smoke. In our party of five, three are Asthmatics and cannot be in smoking rooms even though it was filthy, blood stains, no fresh bed sheets. Front desk said they were under renovation and we had to accept because I could not drive one mile longer because of fatigue and all the hotels in the area were booked because of Spring Break a week before COVID 19. I'm 73 years old and a former Chaplain and my daughter has worked in ministry for over 7 years. We want proof of smoking in the room like receipts of expenses incurred by the hotel to clean the room and evidence to support their claim.

Ramada by Wyndham Shreveport Airport Response • May 07, 2020

Good Afternoon Mr.,
I do apologize for any inconvenience you are having with the charges you have in concern. Your billing has been checked into and you have checked in two rooms reserved for you on 3/6/20 checkout 3/7/20 your rate for each room per night was $101.61 after taxes each room per night was $117.46. The only additional charge you have is that one of the rooms was verified by a supervisor also manager on property of marijuana being smoked in the room which the $250.00 fee was charged; upon checking in front desk states the property is a nonsmoking property any smoking on the property in a room results in a $250.00 fee.

We are Non Smoking family that where on our way to Florida with grandkids. We didn't smoke in your room!
We appreciate if you reverse the smoking charges because it did not happen in our watch. There is no telling who
entered the room after we checked out. Your hotel has other workers in the premises.
We don't smoke and never have. We had three asthmatics in the room in our group.
Please, be reasonable and reverse the charges. I recognize what I agree to pay and not cent more.
How can you be sure of us smoking in your room? It was not us.
I would appreciate you be truthful! The double $170 charges in addition to the rest reflects on how accurate your people are
in assessing charges, let alone smoking when we don't smoke.
Sincerely,
***

PS. I have worked in ministry like my daughter and we don't Smoke.

They hotel was not in any shape to service customers due to sheet rock, mold, heating and cooling system not work, bad smells, elevators not working.
My daughter and I checked into one room around 11:45 pm. Sheet rock everywhere. Asked for another room. Look into it to see the conditions. Went to go get something to eat. Came back around 12:30. That room heating system was not working and the temp outside was 34 degrees. Checked out around 1:00 am. Went to another hotel to get a room and checked in. The Ramada shouldn't have been open to service anyone and I didn't stay in the room no more than 45 minutes and got charged for 1 night. The Ramada gave me my cash back and said they would not charge my credit card but did 54.05. Upon leaving I asked for a receipt and Ramada said their printer was not working at the time. Refused to talk to me and refund or even provide a check out receipt again upon my request.

Desired Outcome

A full refund of 54.05

Husband and I paid $2000.30 up front for our hotel stay and were wrongfully evicted halfway through stay. Seeking reimbursement. GM rude- won't help.
I am filing a complaint against the Hotel Ramada by Wyndham in Shreveport, Louisiana because we were wrongfully evicted during our stay. Husband and myself arrived on November 19th (purchase date) around 11 pm. Upon checking in, I informed the front desk attendant *** that we brought our two dogs with us and let her know that they would be with us for the remainder of our stay. The hotel is pet friendly and the attendant charged us a $50 pet deposit that she said would be refunded to us upon checking out, provided our dogs did no damage to the room. We paid $1905.30 for the room up front with our debit card. There were existing damages to the room that I took pictures of and brought to the attention of the hotel the very next morning on November 20th. We were told we wouldn't be charged for said damages. We did not receive upstanding customer service like we hoped we would during our frankly depressing stay. On November 30th at 2 pm I went to the front desk to ask for more toilet paper. The front desk attendant asked for my room number, and I provided it- room 828. The GM *** was present for this and asked if we had dogs. I said "yes, two of them." He then informed me that I "couldn't leave the dogs alone in the room" because they were "barking non stop all day." I found this hard to believe as we had received zero complaints from the front desk in any way, shape or form about our dogs being disruptive during our stay. Al then preceded to tell us to leave the property. I begged him to show me a copy of the pet policy and he responded with "I don't have to do that." He refused showing us our paperwork or the pet policy that states that the "animals cant be left alone". The only thing he did was waive some random piece of paper around in the air that he grabbed off the desk and yelled "you didn't say you were bringing dogs! You lied! You lied!" All while refusing to show me the paperwork. I asked him how we needed to go about obtaining a refund. He said "you have to take that up with Expedia" as this is the website we used to book the room. He also told my husband "good luck getting your *** money back!" And he told me to take him to court. He then called the police. We promptly went to our room and packed our things. The policeman arrived and no altercation was had between the three of us. We left the hotel and called Expedia who we thought would be able to resolve this issue, but unfortunately they were unable to. I spoke to the manager of Expedia, ***, who attempted to negotiate with *** while I was on hold. She picked the line back up and told me "I informed *** of the pet policy and my findings and told him that I saw nothing in the policy stating that the animals couldn't be left alone. After informing him of this he told me that he wasnt kicking you out for that reason. He said the reason he was REALLY kicking you out was because he smelled cigarette smoke." I found this frightfully ironic that he changed his reasoning for our eviction at the last minute after the Expedia manager informed him of the pet policy and how we were in no way violating it. During our stay we received no complaints in any way, shape or form of our room smelling like cigarettes because we weren't smoking in the room. I filed a complaint on December 1st with Ramada on the phone. I spoke to ***. My reference number is XXXXXXX. She told me that reimbursement is at the discretion of the GM, but the GM, *** is abusing his privileges as a GM, he is rude and does not exemplify good customer service whatsoever. We feel like we are fighting a losing battle. We are kindly requesting a refund in the amount of $750.23, that is $75.00 a night per night plus tax for December 1st 2018 to December 9th 2018, $25.00 for the charge on our account that we did not authorize from Ramada and the $50.00 pet deposit. Please help us. What *** did was wrong on so many levels.

Desired Outcome

We are seeking resolution in the form of reimbursement. The amount we are kindly requesting is $750.23. That is $75.00 a night per night plus tax for December 1st 2018 to December 9th 2018, $25.00 for the charge on our account that we did not authorize from Ramada and the $50.00 per deposit.
