Ramapo Plumbing and Heating

My 76 yr old father contacted Ramapo plumbing & heating & was quoted a price of $1000 over the phone, without even seeing what had to be done or what condition the shower was in, by the nastiest receptionist who asked him his age & if he lived alone, to replace a faucet in his shower & then sent a guy over to his house that same day & he ripped down the tile & wall & installed the new faucet & then Said he needed to get some parts & left my fathers house for over an hour & came back & told him that he does not do tile work & put a plastic bag over it. My father paid him a check for $1000 after questioning him about when he would be back to finish the tile work & then called the office & the same nasty receptionist said that it would be extra to do the tile work. The actual plumber contacted my father the next day to told him he would be back that Friday to do the tile work &said the tiles were out of stock. we contacted the bank & they had cashed the check that Tuesday morning & that is the only reason he called to tell my father he would be back on Friday so that he would not cancel payment on the check. He never came there Friday & he never called. I contacted the NYS board of plumbers & they contacted the plumber themselves because that is the only number that I had & made him aware of his options & he said he had plans to go back the next Tuesday at 1 o’clock & he had the blue tiles already after telling my father they were out of stock. He was also told he cannot charge them more than what was quoted. The plumber did come back & do the tile work but did not have enough tiles to complete the job & my father happened to have three white tiles left over from another job so the plumber used them to complete the job & did not even put the 3 white tiles together, he just put them in all different spots so it looks like crap! I then contacted the office to ask for a receipt & that nasty woman receptionist told me there are no plumbers there & hung up. I then called again but was hung up on
