I purchase a new Chevrolet Silverado on December 31,It only has miles on it and I have had it back to the dealer two time already to fix the undercoatingIt is sticky feeling and peels off easilyUnder the undercoating the frame is badly rustedBoth times I have taken the vehicle to the dealer they have just painted over the rust and sticky undercoatingWhen confronting the staff they informed me that thats the way they had fixed all the other vehiclesWhen I called the Chevrolet company they said that maybe I could suggest to the staff that they clean off the rust firstI do not believe that I should have to tell someone how to do their jobIt's sad you pay that much money for a new vehicle and it is rusting!!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

All parties that were involved in the transaction are no longer employed at Ramey Automotive. We now have possession on customers vehicle and having it inspected.

The vehicle is in our shop now. We are covering the repairs.

Review: Purchased used car sold as is on 2-24-14. I have only put little over 3,000 miles on it and started making noise last week. I took it in [redacted] Auto Service at Ramey's..and told the rear and front wheel bearing is damaged, I will have to pay over $640 with parts and labor. My husband came by service department and spoke to manager whom states they don't inspect the cars before selling and now our problem. Manager states they always sell damage used cars!!!!Desired Settlement: I want it fixed, I want refund for my down payment $1,000, and definitely want a full inspection on my Nissan Rogue!! If theirs more issues than replace my car!!!! I've only made one payment, I think this very unacceptable them selling cars not inspected than tell your customers that!!!

I purchase a new 2013 Chevrolet Silverado on December 31,2012. It only has 8600 miles on it and I have had it back to the dealer two time already to fix the undercoating. It is sticky feeling and peels off easily. Under the undercoating the frame is badly rusted. Both times I have taken the vehicle to the dealer they have just painted over the rust and sticky undercoating. When confronting the staff they informed me that thats the way they had fixed all the other vehicles. When I called the Chevrolet company they said that maybe I could suggest to the staff that they clean off the rust first. I do not believe that I should have to tell someone how to do their job. Review: Went here to Ramy Automotive to purchase a vehicle, nearly 2 weeks ago. After being told to call this one call that one because they couldn't do the deal, They called saying they had us approved for a 15 Silverado 1500, this AFTER us telling them we did not want a Chevy. Then after denying it a day or two they called us with a 2500hd double cab. Even though we didn' [redacted] a Chevrolet I agreed to test drive it and see what I thought. They convinced me to bring the truck home for the night to try and convince my husband. I did. We returned the truck the following day, Saturday, and told them we did not want this truck. Another of their lots had found a 2500hd crew cab that we liked and told them. They said ok they can get it sign here, we signed everything they asked us to sign and waited. After 4 hours we left to come with no answer still. Today, Monday, called to see what the deal was, and the salesman, who by the way was nice the whole time, said ok, the bank has you done, I'll meet you this evening to sign the papers and we arranged the meeting place. An hour and a half before time to meet, I got a text telling me oh sorry, the truck is sold. Ok, no big deal, just get me one like it, didn't even have to be the same color, but has to be crew cab. He then tells me, no sorry we can't, there's none near us. I got online and found one and sent the information to him via text. He replied with, no we can't the bank said we have ran it to much now, all you can get is the double cab that we have here that you are approved for. You know, the on we NEVER wanted. I'm not sure why before submitting to the bank, it wasn't made sure that they had the truck first.Desired Settlement: We just want a truck, we have been approved at the bank and bounces around so much our credit is being punished and we still have no truck.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. But I want to add, from the beginning I said the color wasn't an issue as long as it was crew cab. In fact I had sent the info on the same truck prior to them telling me the deal could not be done. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Review: I bought my car from this dealership on 2/27/15. When I purchased this vehicle the door panel and wiring harness in the back door on the driver side wasn't fixed but, they told me to bring my car by on the following Monday in which I did. They fixed that issue and then in March, I stopped to put gas in my car and turned it off so I could pump the gas. When I got back into my car it would not start. Because I work in the evening I didn't get a chance to call them on that day so I called them on the following day. I asked to speak to the service department and they said because it was bought as is they couldn't do anything even though this had happened only a couple of weeks after the purchase of the vehicle .So I was like okay and up until May my back door latch was broken, I had never before then because it wasn't really needed and it did not work ( I bought this part at [redacted] Chevrolet [redacted]) my car ran fine and then several sensors and parts needed changed. On June 23 I bought a $45 sensor from [redacted] Chevrolet [redacted] to fix my car. On June 28 I took a trip and broke down. When my parents came to help me my dad checked everything he had said it needed transmission fluid. He said it was basically empty on transmission fluid. I went to the [redacted] store in Boone North Carolina and purchased 6 Quarts of transmission fluid. Then a couple weeks after that I had to down my car because the catalytic converter on the passenger side went down ( I bought this part from rock auto.com). After that was fixed my engine light came on and said it was the same issues like the computer was messed up but it wasn't. Fast forwarding from July to the beginning of October everything had been going well for the most part. Now in the middle of October my car started hesitating and idling faster than normal. So my engine light appeared again and I have had it checked by [redacted] Chevrolet [redacted] for $46. They said that it will cost $1,100 to fix my car because it is about to jump time and then if that happens I will have to replace their engine. when I purchased this vehicle the Salesman [redacted] said it would be reliable and is a very good vehicle. I have had this car fixed longer than I have drove it.Desired Settlement: To see if anything can be done to help me fix my car.

Response:

Our records do indicate that Ms. [redacted] did bring the vehicle back to have the rear door repaired. Our records do not show that the vehicle has been back in our service department since the day we repaired the door. The vehicle was purchased as is-no warranty and Ms. [redacted] signed the buyers guide stating that. To the best of my knowledge I have never been contacted by Ms. [redacted] for any of the complaints. Unless my service department diagnoses a vehicle it is hard for me to respond to any outside work that has been done. During any routine maintenance of a vehicle the transmission fluid should be checked.. Thank you[redacted]General ManagerRamey Automotive

Review: I bought the car alittle over a year ago in October. I spoke with [redacted]. It was actually the second vehicle I had bought from there. The first was a dodge charger that when I went to trade found it had frame damage when a local dealership refused to take as a trade. He verified I was not told about a severe accident it was involved in when I purchased. [redacted] apologized and said he would make it right by giving me a good deal on a newer vehicle and letting me trade in the charger. He assured me everything with the Fusion was perfect and it had no issues. The fact that I had a flat tire about 20miles from the dealership should have been a hint things weren't right with this car. My husband always thought something was a little off about the front bumper but to me it looked fine. I took it to [redacted] Ford today as this is our local ford dealership because I was now able to see something wasn't right. The mechanic showed me where the inside of the bumper was cracked and broken. He said you could see where it had repair work that wasn't done correctly and over time caused the problem to worsen. I was told the front end had been involved in some sort of a collision. It took him all of 10min to find this. I called today and asked to speak with a manager who said I could bring it by one day and they could look at it but he didnt see how they were responsible. They would give me the price to fix. I live 3 hours away now as we moved to TN. I am so discussed that this has happened to me not once but twice! As a dealership who sales used cars I would think it would be your responsibility to ensure the safety and reliability of the vehicles that you sale. However, I was told today by a manager you only look at the cosmetic things before reselling.Desired Settlement: To pay for all repairs to fix the issue with the bumper/front end of vehicle as damage was not disclosed when purchased.
