Ramey Motors Inc. is reimbursing the customer for the tires they purchased.  The total price is 515.00.  Thank you for the opportunity to resolve this concern.

This letter is In response to the complaint filed by Ms. [redacted] on a 2013 GMC Terrain (ID# [redacted]). Ms. [redacted] has only been charged for maintenance and diagnostics not covered by her factory warranty or extended warranty contract purchased at time of purchase. The first and only...

maintenance repair was an engine air filter and cabin air filter not covered by any warranty. The wiper concern was determined to be a wiper transmission that needed to be replaced. The customer only had to pay her deductible of $100.00 per her extended warranty contract, The only other charge Ms. [redacted] had to pay was a diagnostic fee to scan for any failure of the airbag system. Her extended warranty contract will not pay for diagnostics that do not lead to a covered repair. Ramey Motors only charged the minimum fee to check her vehicle for codes at said visit. Ms [redacted] visited the dealership on two other occasions and was not charged anything at either of those visits. Ramey Motors cannot determine if and when any components will fall on vehicles until It happens. Any repairs must be authorized by her, her extended warranty contract or remaining factory powertrain warranty prior to repair. In closing, Ramey Motors will not be refunding any fees referenced In the complaints by the customer. If you have any further questions, please contact the dealership directly at [redacted]. Best regards, Brent B[redacted] Service Manager Ramey Motors, Inc.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I am submitting my reply to Ramey's reply. I never asked this business for a refund, my concern was mainly with the service that I've paid for is not addressing my problem. The vehicle was taken to them for the codes that came up and they charged me for a diagnostic, but did not fix the issue. The code were cleared and not addressed. I could have taken the car to a local [redacted] to get the codes cleared for free, but I needed the problem fixed and that is not what they did. I AM VERY UPSET WITH THE SERVICE THAT I HAVE RECEIVED FROM THEM, AND I WILL DISCOURAGE ALL THAT I KNOW TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOKED BUSINESS.Apparently this case is going nowhere. Appreciate your efforts.Respectfully, [redacted]

[redacted]This letter is in response to the complaint filed by a Mr. [redacted] about the replacement of his oil pan on the 2011 Toyota Camry. As you know, Mr. [redacted] brought it in for an oil change on 4/17/2015 to Ramey Toyota. Our express service techs immediately noticed that his oil drain...

plug was ceased after raising the vehicle up on the rack and tried to get it off. The Assistant Service Manager was notified she then went to Mr. [redacted] and took him back to show him of this. The ASM explained to him how this will happen such as, lack of regular maintenance, or over tightening of the drain plug. Mr. [redacted] disagreed with her and quickly said that "we did this". The vehicle has traveled over 16,976 mile since the last oil change done by our shop on 4/08/2013. The owner's manual for this model requires the vehicle to be serviced every five thousand miles to rotate tires, and top off all fluids, and the oil to be changed every ten thousand miles or 10 months on the synthetic oil. If this is not done in a timely fashion by the customer this can and will cause exactly what we have which is a seized oil plug. The customer is responsible for the maintenance of the car not the dealership. Ramey Toyota gave the estimate to Mr. [redacted], and we ordered the part and installed the new oil pan. Mr. [redacted] also had contacted the Customer Care Center at Toyota for his concern and they agreed to only pay for the rental for him. In closing, Ramey Toyota is not liable for the neglect in servicing the 2011 Toyota Camry. This falls on the owner of the vehicle which is Mr. [redacted]. He was provided the service that every customer gets when they come to the dealership. Mr. [redacted] was charged the amount given by the ASM and this could have been avoided if the vehicle was serviced properly. Ramey Toyota has been taking care of its customers for years, and we want them to have the best service experience possible. If you have further questions please feel free to contact me at [redacted]
