Within my 30 day warranty, check engine light came on. I brought it back to get fixed and now it is 5 months later and it has still not been fixed.
I purchased a 1998 Toyota Camry from Pimlico Motors (June 2013) after two months of them not being able to get me hard tags they switched me out into my current 2006 Toyota Solara (August 2013), A manager that goes by the name "[redacted]" actually did the switch. Within a couple of days the Check Engine light appeared on my dashboard. I immediately notified Pimilico motors sales and auto-body shop and they informed me to come in and have my vehicle looked at. After getting my vehicle looked at the mechanics told me that there was an issue with the "procision sensor " on my vehicle and that they would have to order the piece, and gave me an appointment to come back . I came back in two days, and the piece they put in did not clear the code. This occurred about 2 or 3 more times, and my vehicle was never fixed. I continued calling and leaving messages for managers but I had other staff [redacted] give me the run around and hang up the phone in my face. Then there was a change in location, and the auto body shop was moved to Owings Mill. I was able to get an appointment for my car to be looked at. I went to Preakiness in Owings Mills, and had the same mechanics from Pimilico look at my vehicle and tell me the same thing that they had been telling me for months. I was suppose to receive a call back from a mananger, about coming back in so that my it can be looked at again, and I never received a call back. I called again about a week ago (Feb 2014), and I spoke to another manager named "[redacted]" and I reiterated the situation and she told me that she would have the new auto-body shops manager call me, and AGAIN he never did. This Check engine light has started to cause more problems for my car, such as a weak starter, loud rumbling when I am driving; and I fear that continuing to ignore this sensor will cause in PERMANENT damage to my car & engine.
