Dear Revdex.com,We recently had business dealing with this client and entered into a contract for ***i [redacted] on Sept 9th for $Price was reduced prior to tear off to $as the husband stated he would work with us if the price was reduced Once the job was in motion for tear off my installer found bad wood which was hidden from aboveThe homeowner was contacted immediately about the concern and was brought up on the roof to show the problemWE would need an additional 8-sheets of plywood to do the job properlyWe asked the client what they thought and the statement was "this is not my problem!" I talked with Mr [redacted] personally telling him I would only charge for the extra material and not labor to get this done today, again the response was "I am not paying additional money!" I then stated that according to the contract which was signed and agreed to would require a restock fee for materials as this is a specific material for the roof, not an Extra material we just have laying around thingMr [redacted] told me he would get back to me by the end of the day, Sept20th I have yet to receive any phone call from the client, so by not receiving a call or statement from Mr or Mrs [redacted] I decided to refund the amount of $as a restock fee and cancellation fee, on Line of the contract is 25% of actual contract amount based off the discounted price of $The real dispute here is we came out, started the project, identified an additional problem, notified and discussed the problem, we were never allowed to continue work as we were asked to stop everything until he could decide what to doWe waited an extra day and attempted to contact them to no availI did not hesitate on the refund and the extra materials and time is a greater loss than the $in disputeI have been very up front with the choices I left the [redacted] 's, we are not in the business of taking advantage of customers, we excel at resolving any and all issuesIf there are any questions feel free to call me at [redacted] Sincerely,Zane B***/ President [redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,We completed the ***'s projectI was in constant contact strictly with Mr*** and talked with him about the dry rot found on the roof (pictures were taken for proof of repair) which we replaced more than the sheets of plywood needed, we replaced over In addition we replaced
over tiles as well on the home even though our standard is tiles in contractsI personally oversaw clean up, if there were nails present I personally did not find anyI comb the yards with magnets, now to find a couple nails is not uncommon on construction sites, however to say we left a mess when we hauled off tons of debris, in the standards of clean up it was exceptionalThe job went smooth, the work and extras were completed, this job fell apart when we requested to be paid for the additional work installed on their homeTo say I threatened or harassed them is not the word choice I would useInstead I would call it fair and reasonableWe did the work, we deserve to get paid it's that simple. When it came time to collect we had to wait three days until Mr*** could meet with usThe day of meeting when we presented the final bill with the homeowners, they started to yell and raise their voices at my salesman Carl who kept his cool the whole time, as it took over an hour or so of the ***'s telling him how horrible I was for billing them for this additional work needed We agreed to lower bill by 1/Ms*** did not agree and wrote a check for $of the $1,owedI stated that Beach Ventures did not agree with the amount she paidMs*** threatening to not pay the remainder of the $4,due, if we did not accept the offer of $for the extrasMy comment to her was that you acknowledge there were extras, then why not pay for all of them, I would be willing to take payments or whateverShe did not agree with any possible solution I came up withIn final I stated to the homeowner to receive goods and services without paying for them is stealing and has unjust enrichment all over itIf this were a store and someone walked out of the store without paying for them, that they would be arrested for such a crimeThat's when Ms*** came up with some Beer cooler she stated we stoleSimply not true, I do not know of any beer cooler nor did I see one on the job site the whole time I was present on the job.As for the resolution of this: We did cash the checks she provided (short by $1000), we sent the warranty at the beginning of the month, We still did not get paid the final $due on the job for the extras we performedI have not pursued them for this as of yetAs for an apology letter, this is an uncomfortable situation as I have done nothing wrong, and yet as the main representative for my company I cannot express in words my feelings of being taken advantage ofYes, we are supposed to learn and grow from this, but in all retrospect it makes a company raise it's prices to cover for this type of lossI do wish the ***'s well and God BlessI pray they see the facts and pay us what we indeed earned.Sincerely,Zane B***/ Owner

Needless to say having a leak on a roof is very stressful*** has been great to work for and very open to us for us to resolve this issueWe found a small hole where water was entering the homeWe sealed this hole and installed a cricket to divert the water from this area completely
We have completed the roofing repairs as well as the interior repairsThe original drywaller scheduled to repair the cut out was a no showI contacted a new company and repairs were completed as per the homeowners requestI called *** the husband after repairs were completed and requested he call me if there was anything further neededWe provided a written change order showing and labeling everything we were planning to do to resolve this as whet she stated in her complaint aboveThis took a couple of weeks to complete as we did a water test after we installed a cricket and diverter on the roofAt this point the roof is a good working system and there is no further action necessary at this timeI am pending a phone call from *** to tell us she is satisfiedthe ball is in her courtI will notify you of any changes or issuesMy number is ###-###-#### cell. Thanks, *** ***President of Beach Ventures Inc

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This complaint is in response to the owners reply to my original complaint, Complaint ID # [redacted]. After the roof and ceiling had been repaired all was well until recent storms. After we experienced rain, we discovered two new leaks in two different areas than the original problem. These leaks were near the air conditioning vent in the master bedroom and kitchen. We called [redacted] that day, approximately April 23rd, to let him know about the problem and he said he was going to send a worker over by that Saturday or by Monday to check what the problem was. I called [redacted] Tuesday because no one had shown up and he explained that he didn't have anyone to send, he was in the middle of a job, and that he was very tired of the situation. I asked him how he thought I felt about it. Finally, he said that he felt as though the leaks were not his fault and that the air conditioning company is responsible for it. I told him his group of workers moved the air units and that we did not have the leaks prior to the roof replacement. I purchased this roof, paid in full and still have a leaky roof. I have never had problems with my AC units and perform routine service that is required to keep them in working condition. I do not consider Complaint ID # [redacted] complete or resolved. I expect that [redacted] make time to correct his mistakes and do so in a professional and prompt matter. Thank you, [redacted] I want the leaks fixed.Regards,[redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,We recently had business dealing with this client and entered into a contract for [redacted] on Sept 9th 2016 for $800. Price was reduced prior to tear off to $700 as the husband stated he would work with us if the price was reduced.  Once the job was in motion for tear off my...

installer found bad wood which was hidden from above. The homeowner was contacted immediately about the concern and was brought up on the roof to show the problem. WE would need an additional 8-9 sheets of plywood to do the job properly. We asked the client what they thought and the statement was "this is not my problem!" I then stated that according to the contract which was signed and agreed to would require a restock fee for materials as this is a specific material for the roof, not an Extra material we just have laying around thing. Mr. [redacted] told me he would get back to me by the end of the day, Sept. 20th 2016. I have yet to receive any phone call from the client, so by not receiving a call or statement from Mr or Mrs. [redacted] I decided to refund the amount of $175.00 as a restock fee and cancellation fee, on Line 12 of the contract is 25% of actual contract amount based off the discounted price of $700. The real dispute here is we came out, started the project, identified an additional problem, notified and discussed the problem, we were never allowed to continue work as we were asked to stop everything until he could decide what to do. We waited an extra day and attempted to contact them to no avail. I did not hesitate on the refund and the extra materials and time is a greater loss than the $175 in dispute. I have been very up front with the choices I left the [redacted]'s, we are not in the business of taking advantage of customers, we excel at resolving any and all issues. If there are any questions feel free to call me at [redacted]Sincerely,Zane B[redacted]/ President[redacted]

I Contacted [redacted] and [redacted] and he contacted [redacted] to conduct water tests. We worked together to run water tests on both HVAC units. Found no leaks on one HVAC and found one leak on the other which was coming from the ducting from inside the thermostat wire above the roofline. We covered the cost to inspect with [redacted] which was $140.00 and purchased ducting sealant to seal the thermostat wire. We are pending rain this weekend and will be on stand by to see if this improves or solves the problem once in for all. Roofing work was fine and no water entered the home. As a precaution we are sealing flat roof with an elastomeric sealant which was scheduled for this afternoon 5/14. No further action is necessary. We will be waiting for the rains to pass to ensure that there are no further leaks. Any questions feel free to call me at ###-###-#### cellThanks,[redacted]
