Review: I was looking to buy an [redacted] and came across his website. I did my research about the car I was interested. I called him inquiring about the Acura TL. I took it for a test to see what's wrong with it and it seems to be okat that time. I called out some minor details to the car which he was trying to take off for the parts. I purchase the 2004 [redacted] from Ramos Auto for 7,000.

After purchasing the [redacted] It Broke down the next day. The car needed a new battery and starter. He had me pay for towing and the parts and labor. He refund me some back but I didn't think I should have paid for it. Well I purchase the car August 4, 2014. My car still hasn't been process through PenDot to this day. I haven't received my Registration for my car. I called multiple time asking about it and he keeps giving me different stories. Now after going through this on going problem I wish not to do business with this company. I want to return the car and be refund my money. I also paid cash.Desired Settlement: $7,000

Review: I purchased a 2002 [redacted] truck for my son on November 1, 2013 from Ramos Auto Workz . Part of the purchase price included a warranty for 3months/4500 miles.

A few weeks before the warranty would run out due to mileage, my son became to have a problem with the rear axle. He took the vehicle to his mechanic, who called the warranty company and was told they had no record of a warranty from Ramos.

My son called Ramos Auto Workz. **. Ramos said he had sent in the paperwork for the warranty; he would call and check on the warranty. A week later, my son called **. Ramos because he had not heard from him. **. Ramos said he had called the warranty company, who said they had never received the warranty paperwork.

**. Ramos said since there was no record of the warranty, he would fix the vehicle personally; he would order the part and repair the vehicle. After two weeks, the parts were still not in and the truck had not been worked on. My son's calls to **. Ramos were ignored and voice mails were never returned. During my son's last conversation with **. Ramos on Feb. 4th, **. Ramos said he would not repair the truck since a warranty had not been purchased or was not part of the purchase price.

I called **. Ramos on February 7th and asked to speak to his wife, since her signature was on the paperwork. I told her about the warranty problem and she said she would check into it and call me back. I told her if I did not receive a phone call in one or two days, I would be contacting the Revdex.com. Five minutes later **. Ramos called me back and demande to know why I had asked to speak to his wife instead of him. I told him because her name was on the paperwork. He told me the vehicle did not come with a warranty from Ramos Auto Workz, it was from [redacted]. He said if my son had contacted him when the problem first began with the vehicle, **. Ramos would have contacted the warranty company and gotten things straightened out, but since my son went to a mechanic first, and the mechanic called the warranty company, there was nothing that could be done about the warranty.

I asked **. Ramos repeatedly if he had ordered the part for the vehicle, as he had told my son he did. At first, he said yes. When I asked if the parts had come in, tellling him I would pay for the parts and my son would fix the truck himself, **. Ramos refused to answer the question. He became angry and told me I was talking to him like my son talked to him, interrogating him, which I was not doing. He said the problem was that my son wanted his truck fixed yesterday and was pressuring him to finish the repair. The vehicle has been off the road for a month, while **. Ramos said he was checking into the problem with the warranty company and then supposedly ordering the part. He also was upset that I mentioned the Revdex.com to his wife. He would never answer my question about the part coming in; I do not believe he ever ordered the part. We finally ended the conversation by me telling **. Ramos we would have the vehicle removed from his lot and we would take care of the repair.Desired Settlement: We do not want **. Ramos involved with the vehicle repair. We would like him to reimburse my son for the cost of the repair that needs to be done, approximately $500. We also want the Revdex.com to know about Ramos Auto Workz practices. We believe the warranty was never submitted, even though it was to be included in the price of the vehicle. We want some type of report done on Ramos Auto Workz to protect potential customers.

March 3, 2014To whom it may concern:[redacted] did purchase a 2002 [redacted] Dakota from Ramos Auto Workz on November 1, 2013. Around December 2013, [redacted] called regarding the problem the truck was having. I called the warranty company to see what the problem was and customer service informed me they never received the paperwork. I decided to speak to the representative from [redacted] and left many messages and he never got back to me. A week after leaving many messages he finally answered the phone and told me he was going to look into it. He never got back to me so I called the client and told them out of my goodness I would fix the truck, I explained to them it would take me a while because I needed to wait until the part was delivered to our shop three days went by and they started calling me about the truck, I explained to them I ordered the parts online and they did not arrive. The customer did make attempts to contact us and we started to feel like we were being rushed into repairing their vehicle even though we were not liable for the repairs. The calls continued from the mother and son insisting we give them the parts and they would the truck somewhere else to have the repairs done, We were called liars and at that point I told the customers to come pick up the truck and I will not continue to help customers that disrespect my business.Upon inspection we came to the conclusion the damages to the truck were due to extreme driving conditions. The vehicle had obviously been used in some type of 4wd sport climbing and mud bogging. We also had noticed that, the truck also had numerous modifications done for extreme 4wd driving including a tow hook system used to pull vehicles that get stuck. This truck is not idea! for this type of abuse. We believe the customer bought the truck for son and he broke the truck. In our three years of business we only have had one problem with a warranty through a warranty company and that is with hundreds of cars sold per year all with warranties through a third party company. [redacted] warranty will not take responsibility for losing the paperwork with this vehicle and because a claim was made before the paperwork was resolved the warranty automatically voids any further warranties. The customer was inconsiderate and pushy. For that reason we decided to not make any repairs on that vehicle. If you have any further questions you can reach me at the above number.Thank you, [redacted] Ramos

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:The response is incorrect.

I did purchase a 2002 [redacted] from Ramos Auto Workz on November 1, 2013. [redacted] Ramos' response claims that I called them in December 2013 regarding a problem the truck was having. My son did not begin having problems with the truck until January 2014. At that time, having been told there was a warranty on the truck, [redacted] took the truck to our mechanic, [redacted] Automotive, to see what the problem was. The mechanic called [redacted] to see if the problem was covered by the warranty; at that time **. [redacted] was told there was no warranty; the paperwork had never been filed. [redacted] then called Ramos about the warranty; they said they would call [redacted] and check into the problem. As we stated in the original complaint, one week went by and Mr. Ramos had not called back. [redacted] called him. Mr. Ramos said he had called the warranty company; they said they had never received the warranty paperwork. Mr. Ramos said since there was no record of the warranty, he would fix the vehicle personally; he would order the part and repair the vehicle.

[redacted] dropped the truck off at Ramos Auto Workz on a Friday. Mr. Ramos said he would set a date of the following Wednesday to have the truck repaired, that would be the latest date it would be finished. Mr. Ramos did not tell [redacted] he was going to order the parts online, he just said he would order the parts. When [redacted] called the following week to see if the truck was finished, Mr. Ramos did not tell [redacted] that he had ordered the parts online and they hadn't come in, as [redacted] claims in her response to our complaint. Instead, Mr. Ramos would not answer his phone and would not return [redacted]'s calls.

As for Mrs. Ramos' comments about the truck being used for extreme driving conditions and having modifications made for extreme 4wd driving, this is untrue. The only modifications made to the truck were a new exhaust system installed and a tow hook system added. The truck was never used for sport climbing or mud bogging. [redacted] used the truck for his transportation to and from work each day.

I do not understand how a company that has dealt with warranty companies for 3 years, as Mrs. Ramos states in her response, would not know that paperwork had not been received for this truck's warranty. There should be some system in place that would confirm paperwork had been received and the warranty taken care of, and if this confirmation is not received, then Ramos Auto Workz should then check with the warranty company to make sure the vehicle they have sold with a warranty is indeed covered. If this had been done, then we would not be having this problem. The truck would have been repaired in January by our mechanic, covered by the warranty, and [redacted] would not have had the additional expense for the past two months of insuring another vehicle so he would have transportation to and from his employment. Regards,[redacted]

March 17, 2014To whom it may concern:I am rejecting this response because the customer is making accusations that are untruthful and unproven. [redacted]. [redacted] says we did not give [redacted] a call back within the week. Like I stated in the prior complaint we had to wait until a representative from [redacted] returned our call.[redacted]. [redacted] states that we did not tell [redacted] about ordering the parts online and that is not true. We did order the parts online and we did tell [redacted] we ordered them online from the beginning. We did obviously answer the customer’s phone calls or how else would we have communicated. The truck undercarriage was completely covered in mud and did look like it had been used off-road.There is no confirmation of the warranty paperwork going thru from the warranty company to the dealer. I feel like the customer is upset because things did not turn out to be the way they wanted. We did what we could for them and they made false accusations of parts not being ordered. How would they know if we ordered the parts or not.Because of all the phone calls we had with the customers and the treated us was why we decided not to help them further. They were inpatient and disrespectful my business and that is why I am rejecting this response.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Review: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: We could go back and forth with this complaint, with he said, she said, for a long time. However, the bottom line is this: We bought a [redacted] from Ramos Auto Workz and part of the purchase price was a warranty. When we began having problems with the truck, we found out the warranty payment had not been received by [redacted]. At that point, Ramos Auto should have made good on the warranty purchased by either sending in the warranty payment and paperwork again, or by repairing the vehicle. Instead, [redacted] and I were given the run around with phone calls not being returned, and then we were told conflicting stories about the parts and whether they were ordered or not.

As for Ramos' claims that the truck was used for mudding, it was not. His fiancee lives on a hill with a dirt driveway. That is where the mud underneath came from. But that is not the issue. We purchased the truck in good faith, understanding it was in good condition, plus there was a warranty behind it. Mr. Ramos should not be making accusations about how the truck was handled. He should be concerned about taking care of the customer.

In all of our dealings with Mr. and Mrs. Ramos, we were respectful and we tried to be understanding about delays. Regards,[redacted]
