Initial Business Response /* (1000, 10, 2016/06/27) */
Laptop was received on April of 2016, the primary issue was that the system was not bootingLaptop did boot on arrival, we suggested to the customer that hard-drive could be bad since we were told that system was not detecting hard-drive, we
gave option to leave laptopOnce laptop was left to run diagnostic, we ran multiple programs to test hardware mainly the hard-driveThe hard-drive test passed customer hard-drive, once test was complete we shut down the laptop notified customer his laptop was ready and placed it in our cabinet to wait for pick upOn the arrival of customer we took laptop out of cabinet to turn back on and show the Customer his laptop, upon turning laptop back on system did not display, we advised customer to leave laptop so that we could look at it again to diagnosis this issueUpon diagnostic issue was determined as cable issue, cable was ordered from our oversea venders since our local venders did not carry the cable for customers laptopOn arrival of the cable it was tested immediately since we had a short window of before customer left state, Cable worked on installation screen was displaying perfect called customer notified him computer was ready shut down system placed it in our cabinet to wait for customer pick upWhen customer arrived we took laptop out of the cabinet turned on the system to find lines going down the screenWe asked customer to leave laptop one day so that we may take a look at it once moreUpon looking at the system everything was connected properly with no time to take care of system since customer was leaving the state we offered him to leave laptop so that we may correct the issue or he could take laptop with brand new cable inside free of charge since laptop was not working properlyDays after customer took laptop with him, we received call from him and he expressed to that laptop was not booting upWe asked customer to send laptop to us so that we could resolve the issue, customer agreed, after call ended we did not hear from customer again
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2016/07/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
1: I would like to see their phone records, because they did not notify me, I always had to contact them to check the status of repairs
2: The first time they took the lap top out of the "cabinet" to show me it was working, as they stated, it did not displayThey then advised me it was a Mother Board problem, and they needed to send my computer to their Mother Board Expert, as he was not located in the same facilityOnly later after at least one visit from me, and several phone calls, did they determine it was then the video cable between located between the mother board and the video displayThey only admitted it was the cable after I questioned them on why they had ordered and were installing a cable, before sending my computer to their "mother board expert"At this time the person I was dealing with, whom worked the front counter, upon being questioned by me, admitted their technician may have damaged the cable while putting the computer back together, and a mother board problem was never suspectHe stated they ordered from an overseas supplier because it was cheaper, and at no time did they mention attempting to order from a mainland supplier or said mainline supplier being out of stock
3: Upon arriving a 3rd time to pick up my computer, it was found to have vertical Red, Blue, Green lines on the displayOnce again, I contacted them, they did not contact meYes I was leaving the Country, the next day if I remember correctly, so I opted not to leave my computer with themWhy? Mainly because I was suspect of every time I went to pick up my computer, it had a worse problem then the original complaintI have no proof that they were incapacitating my computer, but I sure have a high index of suspicionOn Saturday, as I was packing to leave for Texas, and then Afghanistan, I plugged in my computer to check it one last timeUpon turning it on, I immediately smelled burnt electrical coming from the computer, and although the charge light on my laptop, was lite, my computer would not turn onOnce again, a worse problem then any of the previous "fixed" problems
4: Yes, I contacted them, no I did not agree to send my computer to them, I only said I would think about it, as well as thinking about filing this complaintTheir response was why would I want to damage their business by filing a complaint with the Revdex.com? Why? Because I don't trust them to work on my computer again, their actions already speak louder then wordsMy computer problems only escalated every time they opened it up to repair it, not once did it work better, then the time before once they took possession of itSo NO, I do not TRUST them to work on y computer again, and I feel people should be informed of what they are walking into, when they walk into this business
