Rancho Imports Reviews (1)

Review: We purchased 3 [redacted] at this dealership in 2006-2007. Unfortunately, Rancho is the only authorized dealership in San Diego that can service these vans. We stopped going with them due to ridiculous customer service, however, in the last 3 weeks we need to use them to repair exhaust manifold. Our first attempt to get the manifold fix was horrible. We got ran around to get info, and they let the van sit for 5 days before we got a quote of $*K. We decided to go ahead and pay via credit card for the repair, and when we picked it up, the van has two issues which we never had until Rancho repaired the manifold. The first issue is when we start the van it's struggling, and the second issue is we have constant burned gas smell. We contacted Rancho to tell give them opportunity to help us. On Friday afternoon 11-14-2014, for 25 minutes I cannot get an answer on what's going with the van, and they already have the van for 7 days. I decided to drive down to their location while on hold, and was able to talk to former employee they have named [redacted]. [redacted] is in to help out the place due to they are short handed. 20 minutes later [redacted] got the info form the technician about the two issues we had. The tech said the issue of the struggling starter is fuel filter, and the burned smell was caused by the fuel tube leaking. We know for sure that these issues aren't happening until Rancho touch our vehicle. Firestone, our regular mechanic had our truck two days before Rancho, and these issues didn't exist specifically the fuel tube which is leaking. Rancho claim that they didn't have nothing to do with the issues and asking $[redacted] repair cost. Friday afternoon, I told [redacted] we will just pick up the truck and go somewhere because we are tired of frustration. We attempted to pick up the truck and the truck is not ready due to is not put together. Rancho started dismantling the truck without service approval.Desired Settlement: Rancho explained to us that they had two people quit without notice, and one of them is the person handled our truck. As a service manager, I understand that pain of being short handed; however, we picked up our van after a $*K charges to our credit card with two issues that we never had we handed our van to Rancho. Rancho's first response was we didn't cause these issues. I know for sure this fuel tube wasn't leaking because Firestone would have not release the van for these issues, and we never had the physical experience until Rancho touched the van. Rancho should step up and repair these at no charge. Our main goal is to get this in writing somewhere, so these type of problem will not happen anymore. We wonder how many Rancho customers are experiencing the same issues. We also see tons service issue reported to Yelp! This is the reason why we stopped going to Rancho years ago, but unfortunately my current mechanic doesn't have all tools to repair sprinters.
