HELLO, THIS IS [redacted] FROM RANCHO NISSAN AUTO DISMANTLING AND THIS MESSAGE IS REGARDING COMPLAINT # [redacted] THE CUSTOMER IS SAYING THAT HE HAD INSTALLED THE FIRST TRANSMISSION BY AN IDEAL AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE AND REPAIR SHOPI KNOW THAT HE HAS NOT TAKEN HIS VEHICLE TO HAVE THE TRANSMISSION INSTALLED BY THE IDEAL SHOP DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE FIRST TRANSMISSIONS OIL FILTER WAS NEVER REPLACED AND THE OIL LEVEL FOR THE TRANSMISSION WAS LOW AND THEY WERE RUNNING THE VEHICLE JUST LIKE THAT AND DRIVING ITWHEN THE CUSTOMER BROUGHT HIS CAR INTO OUR SHOP FOR US TO DIAGNOSE IT, WE CHECKED THE OIL LEVEL AND IT WAS VERY LOW AND THEY WERE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE WITH LOW AMOUNTS OF OILAFTER THE CUSTOMER TOOK THE TRANSMISSION OUT OF HIS CAR THAT HE HAD PURCHASED FROM US AND BROUGHT IT TO OUR STORE, WE HAD CHECKED THAT THE OIL FILTER INSIDE THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT CHANGEDAN IDEAL AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE AND REPAIR SHOP SHOULD KNOW THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF OIL THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO RUN AND THE SHOP WOULD NOT PUT NEW OIL WITHOUT REPLACING AN OIL FILTER WHICH IS MANDATORYBASED ON THE FACT THAT THE FIRST TRANSMISSION THEY HAD INSTALLED WAS ABUSED AND NOT INSTALLED THE PROPER WAY THAT IS MANDATORYTHE FIRST TRANSMISSION WAS RUNNING BUT BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN'T INSTALL A NEW OIL FILTER AND DID NOT PUT THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF OIL THEY BURNED THE VALVE BODY IN THE TRANSMISSIONNEXT THE CUSTOMER IS MENTIONING TAKING THE VEHICLE TO [redacted] WHICH THEY SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS BADBUT [redacted] NEVER KNEW WHY THE TRANSMISSION WAS BADTHE CUSTOMER NEVER ASKED [redacted] WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION THAT CAUSED IT TO BE BADIT WAS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY HADN'T INSTALLED IT THE RIGHT WAY BY NOT CHANGING THE OIL FILTER AND BY NOT PUTTING THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF OIL IN THE TRANSMISSIONTHE CUSTOMER FIRST SAID HE HAD TOOK THE CAR TO AN IDEAL AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE AND REPAIR SHOP BUT IN [redacted] DIAGNOSTIC TESTS THE VEHICLE HAD LOTS OF ISSUES WHICH NO IDEAL AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE AND REPAIR SHOP WOULD OF MISS.THE FACT THAT THEY TOOK THE VEHICLE TO [redacted] WHICH WAS NOT THE SHOP THAT INSTALLED THE TRANSMISSION, TELLS ME THAT EVEN THE CUSTOMER DIDN'T TRUST THE MECHANIC WHO INSTALLED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE [redacted] ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAD A BURNT SCENT TO IT WHICH WAS ONCE AGAIN CAUSED BY THE CUSTOMER NOT CHANGING THE OIL FILTER AND PUTTING LESS AMOUNT OF OIL THEN IT WAS REQUIRED, WHICH BURNED THE VALVE BODY IN THE TRANSMISSION DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION RUNNING WITH LOW OILAFTER ALL THAT, I STILL WANTED TO HELP THE CUSTOMER AND GAVE HIM ANOTHER TRANSMISSION AND TOLD HIM I COULD INSTALL ITCUSTOMER HAD REJECTED OUR HELPI TOLD HIM I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO WARRANTY THE SECOND IF IT IS NOT INSTALLED BY A MECHANICAL SHOP THAT WE WORK WITHI HAD NOT OFFERED WARRANTY ON THE SECOND TRANSMISSION IF IT WAS INSTALLED BY AN MECHANIC WHO WE DIDN'T WORK WITH DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE FIRST TRANSMISSION WAS DAMAGED BY THE CUSTOMER AND THE MECHANIC WHO INSTALLED ITI HAD SPOKEN TO J & P SMOG WHO HAD INSTALLED THE THE SECOND TRANSMISSION TO KNOW WHAT WAS THE MATTER REGARDING THE SECOND TRANSMISSION AND THEY TOLD ME THE TRANSMISSION DRIVE AXLE SEAL WAS BAD AND SAID HE HAD OFFERED THE CUSTOMER TO REPLACE THEM BEFORE INSTALLING THE TRANSMISSION INTO THE VEHICLE WHICH CAUSED THE LEAKI ASKED HIM WHY HE DIDN'T CHANGE THEM IF HE KNEW THEY WERE BAD, HE SAID THE CUSTOMER SAID ITS OKAY JUST INSTALL IT LIKE THATTHE DRIVE AXLE SEALS ONLY COST $WHICH I COULD OF ORDERED FOR THE CUSTOMER FOR FREE BUT THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND BY NOT PROPERLY INSTALLING THE PARTS, HE HAD ABUSED AND DAMAGED OUR TRANSMISSIONI JUST WANT THE CUSTOMER TO KNOW WE, BY OUR RULES AND POLICIES, DID NOT HAVE TO WARRANTY THE FIRST TRANSMISSION IN THE FIRST PLACE DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE HAD DAMAGED OUR ITEMHE HAD THE CHOICE TO PAY US THE SAME AMOUNT HE HAD PAID J & P SMOG AND WE WOULD OF INSTALLED THE TRANSMISSION THE RIGHT WAY BUY INSTALLING AN NEW OIL FILTER AND BY PUTTING THE MANDATORY AMOUNT OF OIL IN THE TRANSMISSION AND EVEN INSTALLING NEW DRIVE AXLE SEALS IF IT WAS NEEDED FOR THE TRANSMISSIONI AM STILL WILLING TO HELP THE CUSTOMER OUTIF THE CUSTOMER CONTACTS ME WE CAN NEGOTIATE AND MAKE A DEAL TO FIX HIS VEHICLE AND GET IT BACK ON THE ROAD IF HE IS WILLING TO WORK WITH US

I went in to negotiate with *** regarding our pending complaintIn his response he mentioned he was willing to negotiate with me about the transmissionI do not accept the business offer as he was only willing to help me install the transmission, but at my costConsumer states they have incurred too many costs already and believes the business is being unreasonableConsumer would like the business to absorb the cost of repairing and installing the transmission in question as it would be the right thing to do

THE DRIVE AXLE SEALS ONLY COST $5 WHICH I COULD OF ORDERED FOR THE CUSTOMER FOR FREE BUT THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND BY NOT PROPERLY INSTALLING THE PARTS, HE HAD ABUSED AND DAMAGED OUR TRANSMISSION. I JUST WANT THE CUSTOMER TO KNOW WE, BY OUR RULES AND POLICIES, DID NOT HAVE TO WARRANTY THE FIRST TRANSMISSION IN THE FIRST PLACE DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE HAD DAMAGED OUR ITEM. HE HAD THE CHOICE TO PAY US THE SAME AMOUNT HE HAD PAID J & P SMOG AND WE WOULD OF INSTALLED THE TRANSMISSION THE RIGHT WAY BUY INSTALLING AN NEW OIL FILTER AND BY PUTTING THE MANDATORY AMOUNT OF OIL IN THE TRANSMISSION AND EVEN INSTALLING NEW DRIVE AXLE SEALS IF IT WAS NEEDED FOR THE TRANSMISSION. I AM STILL WILLING TO HELP THE CUSTOMER OUT. IF THE CUSTOMER CONTACTS ME WE CAN NEGOTIATE AND MAKE A DEAL TO FIX HIS VEHICLE AND  GET IT BACK ON THE ROAD IF HE IS WILLING TO WORK WITH US.

customer is stating that he does not know what else can be wrong. I take my offer back in this case. all our parts come with a 90 day parts only warranty which means customer can bring the transmission back and we will give him another one with the same 90 day warranty if he did not mess our transmission.

Review: On 8/24/2015 I purchased a used 2003 Murano transmission for the amount of $1402.00 with a 90 day warranty. I got the transmission installed by ideal automotive service and repair on 9/19/2015, and paid them $640.00. I was informed that the transmission was not good, and I went back to BM Tech Auto Parts the following day. [redacted], owner, gave me a sensor saying that was the issue. The mechanic mentioned he would try, but it was not it. To get a better idea of what was wrong on 10/22/2015 I obtained a diagnostic from AAMCO that showed that the transmission was bad. This cost me $89.95, and I went back to BM Tech Auto I paid another $650 to get the transmission installed again at J&P smog. They again on 10/28/2015 informed me that the transmission was not working. The transmission leaks large amounts of oil, and I had no choice but to take my car back home. Now the company is not acknowledging their warranty and refuse to help me after I have spent nearly 3,000.00 on 2 faulty transmissions.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $2,731.95 I have spent to date, on top of $650.00 it costs to remove the transmission. A total of $3,381.95.

AN IDEAL AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE AND REPAIR SHOP SHOULD KNOW THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF OIL THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO RUN AND THE SHOP WOULD NOT PUT NEW OIL WITHOUT REPLACING AN OIL FILTER WHICH IS MANDATORY. BASED ON THE FACT THAT THE FIRST TRANSMISSION THEY HAD INSTALLED WAS ABUSED AND NOT INSTALLED THE PROPER WAY THAT IS MANDATORY. THE FIRST TRANSMISSION WAS RUNNING BUT BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN'T INSTALL A NEW OIL FILTER AND DID NOT PUT THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF OIL THEY BURNED THE VALVE BODY IN THE TRANSMISSION. NEXT THE CUSTOMER IS MENTIONING TAKING THE VEHICLE TO [redacted] WHICH THEY SAID THE TRANSMISSION WAS BAD. BUT [redacted] NEVER KNEW WHY THE TRANSMISSION WAS BAD. THE CUSTOMER NEVER ASKED [redacted] WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION THAT CAUSED IT TO BE BAD. IT WAS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY HADN'T INSTALLED IT THE RIGHT WAY BY NOT CHANGING THE OIL FILTER AND BY NOT PUTTING THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF OIL IN THE TRANSMISSION. THE CUSTOMER FIRST SAID HE HAD TOOK THE CAR TO AN IDEAL AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE AND REPAIR SHOP BUT IN [redacted] DIAGNOSTIC TESTS THE VEHICLE HAD LOTS OF ISSUES WHICH NO IDEAL AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE AND REPAIR SHOP WOULD OF MISS.THE FACT THAT THEY TOOK THE VEHICLE TO [redacted] WHICH WAS NOT THE SHOP THAT INSTALLED THE TRANSMISSION, TELLS ME THAT EVEN THE CUSTOMER DIDN'T TRUST THE MECHANIC WHO INSTALLED IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. [redacted] ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE TRANSMISSION HAD A BURNT SCENT TO IT WHICH WAS ONCE AGAIN CAUSED BY THE CUSTOMER NOT CHANGING THE OIL FILTER AND PUTTING LESS AMOUNT OF OIL THEN IT WAS REQUIRED, WHICH BURNED THE VALVE BODY IN THE TRANSMISSION DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION RUNNING WITH LOW OIL. AFTER ALL THAT, I STILL WANTED TO HELP THE CUSTOMER AND GAVE HIM ANOTHER TRANSMISSION AND TOLD HIM I COULD INSTALL IT. CUSTOMER HAD REJECTED OUR HELP. I TOLD HIM I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO WARRANTY THE SECOND IF IT IS NOT INSTALLED BY A MECHANICAL SHOP THAT WE WORK WITH. I HAD NOT OFFERED WARRANTY ON THE SECOND TRANSMISSION IF IT WAS INSTALLED BY AN MECHANIC WHO WE DIDN'T WORK WITH DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE FIRST TRANSMISSION WAS DAMAGED BY THE CUSTOMER AND THE MECHANIC WHO INSTALLED IT. I HAD SPOKEN TO J & P SMOG WHO HAD INSTALLED THE THE SECOND TRANSMISSION TO KNOW WHAT WAS THE MATTER REGARDING THE SECOND TRANSMISSION AND THEY TOLD ME THE TRANSMISSION DRIVE AXLE SEAL WAS BAD AND SAID HE HAD OFFERED THE CUSTOMER TO REPLACE THEM BEFORE INSTALLING THE TRANSMISSION INTO THE VEHICLE WHICH CAUSED THE LEAK. I ASKED HIM WHY HE DIDN'T CHANGE THEM IF HE KNEW THEY WERE BAD, HE SAID THE CUSTOMER SAID ITS OKAY JUST INSTALL IT LIKE THAT. THE DRIVE AXLE SEALS ONLY COST $5 WHICH I COULD OF ORDERED FOR THE CUSTOMER FOR FREE BUT THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION AND BY NOT PROPERLY INSTALLING THE PARTS, HE HAD ABUSED AND DAMAGED OUR TRANSMISSION. I JUST WANT THE CUSTOMER TO KNOW WE, BY OUR RULES AND POLICIES, DID NOT HAVE TO WARRANTY THE FIRST TRANSMISSION IN THE FIRST PLACE DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE HAD DAMAGED OUR ITEM. HE HAD THE CHOICE TO PAY US THE SAME AMOUNT HE HAD PAID J & P SMOG AND WE WOULD OF INSTALLED THE TRANSMISSION THE RIGHT WAY BUY INSTALLING AN NEW OIL FILTER AND BY PUTTING THE MANDATORY AMOUNT OF OIL IN THE TRANSMISSION AND EVEN INSTALLING NEW DRIVE AXLE SEALS IF IT WAS NEEDED FOR THE TRANSMISSION. I AM STILL WILLING TO HELP THE CUSTOMER OUT. IF THE CUSTOMER CONTACTS ME WE CAN NEGOTIATE AND MAKE A DEAL TO FIX HIS VEHICLE AND GET IT BACK ON THE ROAD IF HE IS WILLING TO WORK WITH US.

I am rejecting this response because:I went in to negotiate with [redacted] regarding our pending complaint. In his response he mentioned he was willing to negotiate with me about the transmission. I do not accept the business offer as he was only willing to help me install the transmission, but at my cost. Consumer states they have incurred too many costs already and believes the business is being unreasonable. Consumer would like the business to absorb the cost of repairing and installing the transmission in question as it would be the right thing to do.

customer is stating that he does not know what else can be wrong. I take my offer back in this case. all our parts come with a 90 day parts only warranty which means customer can bring the transmission back and we will give him another one with the same 90 day warranty if he did not mess our transmission.

Consumer states that he has contacted the business to inquire about the exchange arrangement but was informed by an associate that the exchange was not possible as the warranty had expired. Consumer believes the business is not holding up their end of the agreement. and would like the matter rectified immediately. Consumer states that the transmission has been removed and the incurred costs of removing , fixing, and re-installing the bad transmission should be paid by the business should they choose not to follow through with the agreement.
