Complaint ID# ***Dear Sir,We are a contracted Towing Company in the City of Apache Junction, AzOn January 4, we were dispatched for an arrest tow to retrieve a Ford Taurus 4DSD vehicle and it was impounded in our vehicle storage lotThe vehicle was not put on a hold and if the R/
of the vehicle comes in with proof of ownership and matching photo they can claim the vehicleThe OR# shows the R/to be *** ***A few days after the vehicle was impounded a woman called our office and was asking information on the vehicleI asked her as I always do if she was the R/0, she advised me that her boyfriend *** *** was and he was incarceratedShe stated she wanted her belongings out of thevehicle and I advised her that the only way she could retrieve anything from the vehicle is for *** *** to make her POA of the vehicle to get the vehicle from impoundadvised her that was the only way since she was not the titled R/Several occasions she called stating she was trying to get the POA done and I told her when she did to call the office and Iwould tell her the current chargesOn January 20, another person claiming to be the owner called on the vehicle and at that time the charges were $and again no one showed up to claim the vehicleAgain on January 2.3, another person called claiming they were the owner and wanted to know why the charges were so highI advised her that the charges were according to our police contract allowable chargesI advised her to come down prove ownership pay the charges and drive it awayShe started swearing and yelling calling me a fn bh, I advised her I would not continue to be sworn at and I told her to calm down, she said her mom had the title and she was in Prescott AzI advised her she could go get a duplicate title from MVD.She kept swearing at me and told me she was getting the police to come down and make me give he the vehicle and her belongings, in fact she said she didn't want the vehicle only her items in the vehicleI advised her the vehicle had been filed on for abandoned title because it was not picked up by the Eleventh day as we are required by lawShe hung up the phoneI sent an email to our tow Sergeant Danny S*** with the Apache Junction Police DeptHe advised me to contact the Police if she showed up to our businessShe never showed up to our business or anyone elseThen few weeks ago in the evening at around 7:a girl called our business phone and left a message that now that we stole he car and now that we own it, could she buy it from usI never returned that callWe do 11ot own the vehicle at this timeWe will eventually receive documents from MVD and will title it into RandalIs Towing and then dispose of the vehicleLast week I received another call from someone claiming to be *** *** the R/He asked what he needed to do to get his vehicle back.See attached
