Dear Concerned Customer: We thank you for bringing this matter to our attention We were able to find the details regarding your specific complaint and B2C Jewels would first like to apologize for the negative experience you had We are so glad we had a chance to speak with you on the phone recently and help turn your experience in a positive directionB2C is happy to offer hundreds of thousands of loose diamonds and daily updated inventory from suppliers world-wide The system allows us to offer a tremendous selection to online shoppers Once-in-awhile, however, we fall victim to the challenge faced by many e-commerce companies; world-wide inventories are updated each hours meaning items that have been sold during that day’s business may show up as available in our system until the following business day Unfortunately this was the case with your selection, and this is why all diamonds are clearly labeled "subject to availability" on our website and credit cards are never charged until we know the diamond is available for purchaseWhile the model works, and is a terrific way to offer incredible variety to the consumer, it is the responsibility of the retailer (that’s us) to communicate in a thoroughly caring manner when we have bad news for the consumer, and – after reviews of the emails and phone conversations – we can say we feel like we fell short in your caseAs a consumer you spend countless hours, ready to invest thousands of dollars into an emotional purchaseOur response, offering alternatives when we found the original item had been sold prior to our system-wide update, could certainly have been done in a more thoughtful mannerYou will be glad to know, I think, that we have used your example as a teachable moment for our customer service department and have conducted training and established protocols to ensure every one of our customers is treated with unrivaled courtesy in the futureWhen we last communicated you had spent a beautiful evening for your anniversary, and I am glad we were able, in some small way, to alleviate any frustration you had felt in the buying process prior to that momentous eventBest Wishes, The B2C Team
