Good morning, My apologies for the written delay, I did call and speak with *** about a week or so ago pertaining to this complaint, I just wanted to memorialize it in the event you needed it for your records.While we greatly value *** ***'s business at our laundry facilities and appreciate his feedback; we do need to clarify that we are an unmanned coin operation business. There are signs posted that we are not responsible for items left behind unattended. The reason for this is that historically we have had many folks put clothing in machines and go next door to the restaurant to eat or perhaps run an errand then the machine is occupied and the next customer cannot use it which is not fair to the rest of the customers. Some folks leave behind items and forget about them and do not claim them altogetherNot to mention the opportunity cost to the business which obviously if the clothing remains in the machine after cycle ends it is over the time period the customer paid for.If a part time employee did this we prefer that since sometimes other customers will remove the clothing which has lead to altercations from time to time. This is why our policy is to immediately clear machines after the cycle ends. My recommendation to the customer is to either remain with the clothing and their possessions during the cycle or make a note of the time once the machine starts so that they can pick up their clothing in a timely fashion. We have taken action by placing more signs up to avoid these misunderstandings in the future. We hope this satisfies the customer and your companies questions.
