we were contacted by ***'s brother the previous week about the jobWe went the first day over to his house to inspect the work[redacted] and I agreed on a time and a price for the workWe returned the next afternoon after we freed our schedule up and proceeded to wrap the windowWe install the metal capping best for the way the window was installed [redacted] did not like one piece so we tore it off and replaced the piece at which time he said it was fineWe then finished the metal work ,and caulking with the recommended caulkWe cleaned up at which point in time I showed him the final product to which he said was fineWe did however use his saw (which we have are own) but he had no issue with letting us borrow his at the timeWe do capping on most of our projects, which we never have issues with in the past or currently Had there been a different way to cap the window we would of had to problem accommodating that requestAs for the price at it was a number that was given to him and acceptedShould the window need to be recapped we would like to know what detail needs to be added or addressed for repair

This is in response to a complaint from [redacted] about a repair we did to his KAWASAKI Valcan cc motorcycleWhen MR [redacted] came to our shop he had already diagnosed his motorcycle and told us all it needs is a carburetor intake boot and it has a intake leekWe then asked him are you sure, do you think there is any gas in the oil he told us no do you think there is a spark issue oh no he told us I checked that also we then asked him do you think we should do a compression check or a leek down test no again so we then asked him what is it we can do for youHe told us all he wanted us to do is put a new intake rubber on and clean the pilot jet in the carburetor only Then Mr, [redacted] starts to tell us he dose not have very much money and how much are you guys going to charge me for thisWe then told him that it was a flat fee of $to R&R the intake boot and we will clean your float bowl and slow speed jet (pilot jet)We also had to clean this jet two times we think that something in his gas tank is getting in to his carburetor and plugging up jetsNow the parts came to $sales tax was $total bill was $he was ok with thisThe work order states that we cleaned the carburetor two times installed a manifold or carb, (boot) and we aired up his tires so we could road test the bike Now the bike still had a flutter when ridding it we told him when he picked the bike up When you do a Internet diagnosis and you tell us how to fix your bike and you dictate how much your going to spend on a repair and you refuse to let us do the diagnostic work this is what will happen every timeThis shop runs to weeks behind year round we told him that when he left the bikeWe do not answer e mails about repair work at all we demand the customer brings the bike directly back to our shop in person in a timely fashion not two months later after a repair has been done to discuss the matter with us so that we are all on the same page.As far as the intake clamp if what he told you was true he would have been back to our shop the next day complaining that is the nature of a customerIam glad that his bike is running good now we could have made it run good also but he would not let us diagnose the problemHe also claims that he wanted the carburetor set up I think what means is he wanted the carburetor re jetted ? if that is a fact you have to tell us to do that and we have all the air fuel ratio tools to do this with but that cost a lot more money thank you have a nice day [redacted] Racing

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
The completed work was never acknowledged as ideal, Nick was told that the capping does not appear correct as it does not conform to the windowI told nick " it does not look right" and he stated that this is the way it is supposed to beI also told Nick that I will let my brother be the judge of his work as he works for a window firm and was the one to hire Nick and his crew to subcontract for the company he works for, and is knowledgeable of this type of workUpon seeing the completed capping my brother stated "he would never pass this at a customers house." Since then the work has been reviewed by several other people including another director for the same window firm, Pella and Anderson window installers, and all have stated the capping is incorrect and that it appears the installer did not know what he was doingThe main complaints with the work are as follows: capping does not follow the natural contours of the window (capping should look exactly like the factory wrap at the bottom of the window bent at a nearly degree angle), incorrect upper build out, no aluminum between the bottom of the window and the sill it sits on (water runs between the brick and insulation), caulking bead is extremely thin and has separated in multiple locations, upper capping has a poorly thought out seem, payment of $should have been for expert work not a trial runI asked by brother to notify Nick about the poor work and to this day Nick has not addressed any of the issues raised about the work to either me or my brotherAt this time an appropriate resolution to this matter would involve K&K removing the capping and restoring the window back to the way it was prior to them working on it along with a full refundIn response to agreeing to the price, I was ok with the amount as long as the work was done correctlyIt was notNick and his crew should be held accountable for the mediocre work that was performedMy family and I are prepared to have the work properly redone for an additional cost with a reputable installer and follow up with Nick in small claims court for our losses.
Regards,
*** ***
