I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], on October 13, 2014 and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. As per the resolution, Shepards painting will contact me by the first of next week (Oct. 21, 2014) to schedule the repairs.   I will wait until the business to perform this action to be completed  and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.  I will personally provide Revdex.com pictures of the resolved issues of the deck job to compare with the pictures previously submitted showing the unsatisfactory paint job. I will also inform Revdex.com when I receive the phone call from Shepherd's Painting and the date to fix the paint project is set and then completed.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Interesting because as one can easily see, this contract is unsigned with no written date. I never got this so called contract. I have email documentation from me to [redacted] asking for things to be put in writing and one of those was to have the warranty of bubbling and peeling added when I did get one to sign.  [redacted]'s father [redacted] guaranteed that Shepard's painting is truthful and stands behind their work. I have that in writing and in my documents. I did receive something similar but it was a quote and with wrong information for someone else's house/deck.  Also, I had several days I spoke to [redacted] via phone and one in person. I have emails from him and [redacted] stating that they have 100% guarantee of satisfaction.  When [redacted] came out he stated 100% satisfaction if indeed it bubbles or peels. Additionally, I cornered [redacted] prior to painting the deck about issues of bubbling and peeling off prior to him painting. [redacted] just began working without the agreement. I also questioned this practice and [redacted] stated his dad/sales manager will send it over via email that day. I again questioned this practice so I sent a request for it in writing for a contract and with the guarantee of no bubbles and peeling, however, it didn't come.  He, [redacted], assured me that no matter what, he stands behind his work and if bubbling or peeling happens which he assured it would not, Shepard's Painting would fix whatever peels and bubbles.
There were several areas that Shepard's painting did not paint, or cover in spraying the deck. I used sticky notes to mark the areas, but several were still left undone.  It was obvious [redacted] was in a great hurry to collect money and move on. I felt that they needed payment to pay his employees and for the product so I gave him a check prior to a last look over.  All that needs to be fixed is where the paint peeled off and was left unpainted to begin with. [redacted] and [redacted] both had a verbal agreement which should be honored since I never received an agreement for the deck other than their word. It is interesting that a year almost after the date, an agreement, unsigned mind you, shows up. Interesting.....
Additionally it was brought to my attention by [redacted]s warranty manager that [redacted] said that he doesn't care about any of his past customers and what problems they are having. He is only going to do things that make him money. That is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. 
I have retained all conversations and email contacts/communications if the need arises.

   We are not satisfied with the response because the problem of the peeling paint has not been addressed. The warranty person who was here on July 8th was not turned away. He arrived late and told us he wouldn't be doing any work due to the rain.  We made two calls to the office that day but did not receive a call back. We just want the peeling paint taken care of. Casey said she would check the schedule and get back to us with a date. Our fear is that painting season will be over and the problem will still be unresolved. She said their calendar is full but we are still hopeful that our warranty will allow us to be a priority.

We will contact him by the first of this coming week to get his deck repair scheduled.

We painted her deck last year. This year, after the hard winter, she has some areas that need touched up...

and it is clearly noted in our quotes and contracts. (attached is her contract)

We painted their home last year and they don't like the color they chose and we have no part in color...

selections because of this reason. Since they're unhappy with the color they've chosen, they expect us to completely repaint their house. We sent our warranty repairman to their home earlier this season and they turned him away since he was only repairing the areas that need repair instead of repainting the entire scope of work on the house.
