Review: On April **, 2015 my ** year old father and mother were locked out of my house while I was on vacation. They called Randy's Hardware which is located less than 2 miles from my home. They quoted a price to change a lock but instead used a credit card to gain entry to the house. The service call took less than 5 minutes yet they charged $150. The company did not change the lock, had no out of pocket costs and took blatant advantage of a senior citizen.Desired Settlement: Price reduction

On April **, 2015, a phone call was placed from the Parents of [redacted] stating that they locked themselves out of their sons house and that there son was away on vacation. I explained that an emergency lock out was $150.00 and if the lock needed to be replace their would be an additional fee. At that time, couple said they would call back. Twenty minutes later, the Parents of [redacted], called back and asked if I would come, I proceeded to there house and used a locksmithing tool and my knowledge to get them into the home promptly. I was paid for my services and left. At no time was I made aware that their was a problem until I received this letter from the Revdex.com. I called [redacted]'s mother for whom I did the work for and she was unaware that her son had even made a complaint. After that I called, [redacted] who stated that I charged too much for a job that took 5 minutes and that his parents had called another locksmith at a lower cost however they still call me back to do the job. At no time during our conversation did [redacted] care that his parent were lock outside and that I was at the house immediately, he expressed was that he wanted a reduction in the fee that was already paid. This is my livelyhood and this is the fee I charge for an emergency lockout, which the parents agreed to. I own Randy's Hardware and Locksmith, I am a licensed and bonded locksmith who caries a store, insurances and vehicles, so any work I do has out of pockets expenses and I only service the approximate 4 mile radius in the local community, I do not rate on distance.
