Rapid Express

I have never used this businesses services but I happened to drive to this establishment as I was in need of a car wash. I am not the kind of person that ever uses machine washes, being a part of the military has shown me to take ownership in my hard work including personally washing a vehicle but on may 10th 2018 I was running late for a junction and I had to wash my vehicle asap and this was the place closest by. I was unaware of any instructions prior to entering the car wash as the employees just waived me to move forward and began scrubbing my vehicle. Unaware of my antenna being up the car wash damaged my antenna and broke it. I parked my vehicle to the side and proceeded to politely ask an employee for the manager. I then went to the managers office and a man was stepping out of the office. I later found out it was the *** as he told me. I politely asked him if any repairs could be done or if there were any prior encounters with this happening. I then also told him this had never happened to me before and all I wanted was general information about what could be done for the damages. NEVER once did raise my voice at him, walk to him aggressively, cuss him out, used verbal or physical language to express my curiosity for information. What proceeded after my question was nothing but rude smirky attitude and comments that were completely inaccurate. The *** proceeded to tell me they had no responsibility in the matter and that it's not his problem. He also proceeded to tell me there's also a sign on the property specifying that antennas would not be covered under any damages done by the machine.
Being in the military, when reciting any information it is not professional to lie about or guess on things you may not know. We always respond with we can get you an answer at a later time or we can accurately cite where any policies can be found. This *** completely lied to me about an antenna warning sign being on the property saying I was at fault. I felt as if he believed I was trying to get a free ride or scam the company for free stuff. All I wanted was information. Nothing more. I believe he was profiling myself and my commanding officer as he treated me as if I wasn't a customer and as if I needed to leave the property because I was causing a problem. I feel as if this man may possibly be racist, I know I look young but I have served this country way to long to come back home for a brief vacation to be treated like garbage as if I'm looking for a handout.
I believe this person should be looked at for being in a managerial position. This man is supposed to be a leader and an example to the rest of the employees but this man completely did not handle the situation as needed be. He proceeded to give me a gift card after my commanding officer had joined me into his office to find a resolution. I used this card the next day the card was declined. I feel as if I am being mocked. I will never use this company again for any services. And even after I asked him why he felt he needed to use attitude with me all he could say was he approached the situation as need be or how he sees fit.
I was not aware the diamond shine car wash hired power hungry individuals with poor attitude and work ethic. This company should really re-evaluate its hiring process as they are leaving the store in the hands of unqualified employees like the person I encountered on May 10th 2018.
