Revdex.com,In reference to complaint ID [redacted],after I mentioned I would be filing a claim with Revdex.com,I was told it wouldn't help me. I was then told my refund would be available for pick up. My sister picked up a refund check for me yesterday for 400.00. I still haven't been...

provided the name of the credit bureau or given me any kind of written notification as to why I didn't get the apartment. This was a 100.00 lesson,basically Rapid Realty is just taking people's hard earned money,then telling them a few weeks later,after many phone calls and run around,that you don't have the apartment,but doesn't provide written proof. If they are doing this to a couple people each day,they are making a few thousand dishonest dollars per week. Thank you Revdex.com and thanks for all the work you do.

Review: One of their agents,Niy showed me a couple apartments on 5/[redacted] I placed a deposit of 500.00 on an apt I was interested in. I was told I would hear back from them in 2 days. I called several times to hear an outcome. After making several calls/texts I never received a call back. I did some research online and saw some not so good news about their practices. When I inquired about a refund,I was told no problem. All I had to do was go to their office on [redacted] and I would get a refund. I was told it would take 48 hrs. I made several attempts to speak to the person ([redacted]) that will be handling the refund. When I went to the office on 6/*,it was a 2 hr commute from Queens. When I arrived at the office,I was told [redacted] isn't there. I was given a form to fill out to have the check sent since I'm relocating to another state. When I called the office on Monday,I was given the run around once again and no one could provide the check # or any information as to when my check will be sent to the address I provided.Desired Settlement: A full refund.

I'm still not sure if their processing fee is 40.00 or 100.00. On the form I filed out the 40.00 is scratched off and [redacted]( the guy that took my money) replaced it with 100.00.

Review: What's looking for a 3 bedroom apartment I gave broker $4176 cash was told lies and decieved and never returned money or given apartment.Desired Settlement: $4176 returned immediately.

Review: I used this company to locate a one bedroom apartment. The apartment I was interested in renting required a application fee. The agents also requested a d$500.00 deposit since my credit was low. This occurred on September **, 2015. When I made the arrangements I was told that if I am denied the apartment, my credit card will be refunded.

I was denied the apartment on September ** due to my credit. The real estate agent was unable to find me a suitable apartment before my deadline of October *. Therefore, I requested my refund of the deposit (500.00).

Later that month I received a call asking why I was not going to use their services. They were very unhappy that I requested my refund.

On October [redacted] I did not receive my refund so I cancelled my payment on my credit card.

Today (November *, 2015) I received a phone call that I was comiting fraud by cancelling my payment. They said that I received and cashed in a check. I have yet to receive a check.

The agent said that they would contact the office regarding the missing check. I do not want the check. I fear that their check will bounce. I was told that the deposit will be credited to my credit card when I made the deposit. I want the company to fulfill their agreement to credit my credit card.do not want a check.Desired Settlement: Refund the Deposit to my credit Card immediately!

Review: Rapid Realty received $4700 on sept [redacted], 2015, to cover rent for 3 months for an apartment building in the Bronx ([redacted] apartment **)

After signing a contract with the company to secure an apartment for $1150, then then collected money and changed the price of the apartment several time to $1200, $1300 and finally $1400.

The company used a bate and switch method to try to lock me into a contract and refused to issue a refund.Desired Settlement: Issue a full refund.

Review: My mother was working with an employee by the name of [redacted] in order to get an apartment. She met him at the [redacted] office. She paid him 2,500 in cash to secure the apartment that he showed her. He told her that the apartment was no longer available for her. My mother got really stress and she was worried because her section voucher was ready to expire. He kept taking her to see different apartments and no landlord was available. My continue to be worried.I spoke to [redacted] who assure me that he was you g to help my mother. My mother ended up in the hospital because of the stress that she was under. I spoke to [redacted] who admitted that he took my mother money and no longer has it but that he was going to pay back the money. He then told he was fired from his job but that he had some closing and he will pay the money back. I went to the main office where he work at and was told that he was fired. However my mother was working with him while he was an employee at the Rapid Realty. I asked that they form an investigation since he work for them while he conducted business with my mother who now is deceased . I spoke to [redacted] who said that he will take action but I have yet to see any result. It seems that they don't want to take responsibility for what their now ex- employee has done.

Review: I put down a deposit for finding an apartment. The agent took me to look at 3. After asking for the money back when rhey failed to find me a place, they said the $750 was used for "application fees" and refused to return it. I filed a complaint previously, they acknowledged and called me several months later and claimed "the check was in the mail." I requested a receipt for the "check." No receipt, no mail, no refund. I need my money back. Very shady company, and the agent was extremely rude and nasty with me when I asked for my refund. Hung up on me and never returned calls.Desired Settlement: I just want what I put down. The total was $750 and I have the receipt she gave me.

Review: After viewing an apartment, agents took us back to their business to sign applications. They asked for a deposit right away, starting at 3 months rent, to get it "off of viewing status". No leasing agreement or correspondence with the listing agent and landlord was made before asking us (3 college graduates, 1 college student) for a deposit.Desired Settlement: We are currently in pursuit to get our applications back (which included addresses, SSN, employer information, etc). Investigation of billing practices and explanation for asking for a deposit without any agreements.
