Great company

Review: I have contacted rapid realty on many occasion & went to their office. My appointment to see the apartment was with [redacted] so I called him no answer for 3 days so I had my boyfriend call [redacted] he got seriously aggressive & cursed at him & called him names. I called the woman [redacted] who showed us the apartment to see what was going on with my refund. She was really nasty to me she said I will have to sue to get my money back & that I can't sue her because she isn't a licensed agent. The [redacted] told me last week that the person [redacted] was fired over a month ago. We are feeling scammed!!! I think I will have to contact the media or who ever is up next in command. Talking & communication with these con artist isn't going anywhere. How can people who are not licensed show us apartment & take our money? These people need to wear some type of identification that shows if they are licensed or not. I honestly feel that the 3 people involved are con artist who preyed on us because we are young & desperately looking for a place to live they took advantage of us. We are definitely going to the higher ups!!!Desired Settlement: We just want our money back from these people who all looked well over 40 & preyed on us because we are younger

They scammed us!!!

Good Afternoon,I am responding to the complaint from [redacted]. We were not aware that the landlord of the apartment [redacted] was applying for wanted to keep the space for his own office. We are really sorry for the misunderstanding and have returned all money to [redacted] last week! This case is resolved. Any questions or concerns please feel to contact me directly at ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. Thank You. Sincerely, [redacted]

Review: This was the absolute worst experience that I have ever had with anyone in all of my years renting apartments. First of all, this woman by the name of [redacted], shows me places that I do not even qualify for and has me chasing her down by calling and texting her various pre-paid phones that she does not always respond to, nor do they have minutes ( first red flag). I get a an email about one of the places I applied for and really wanted and was told "Congratulations, your approved" ( that should have been my second red flag, she doesn't even know proper grammar). Sounds like things are looking up, right? WRONG! So in about an hour later, she emails me and says no, we can not approve you. We didn't know that you didn't have perfect credit. ( even though this was sais to her prior to the search, but I'm sure she wasn't listening.) I asked why she told me I was approved then. She begins to tell me that they hadn't run my credit yet. WHAT?? How do you tell someone they are approved before you run their credit? I was baffled, but, I must be a glutton for punishment because I decided to take her up on her offer of showing me more places the very next day. First of all, she emails me and tells me that I should meet her at a [redacted] outside of the train station.( classy right? ) Well I do that and we commence to go look at some places that she says I qualify for and are ready to move into at once. We get to the first place, and it is nothing that I told her that I want. I tell her this, and she gets an attitude. She says " well you may have no choice, you have bad credit".( how intuitive of her...) She basically was trying to force me to take the place. I said no and that I wanted to see one that I actually would like. She hesitantly takes me to another place and I hesitantly go along. But, this next place is good, but it is no where near ready. Why on earth would she take me to a place that from the looks of it, the tenants literally just moved out of? Beyond ridiculous. She tells me , ( right before inexplicably yelling at me for slamming the door on my way in) "look past the junk". But really? that's all I could see. Why would an experienced salesperson show a client anything that's not ready? That was practically the end for me until I went into the realty office ( which was way out of my way) and was going to ask for my money back. I met a gentleman there named [redacted], who was supposed to be the manager of the rest of the brokers. While he was much nicer and had a better demeanor, the outcome of the place he showed me was no better. Overall, I believe that this place should be either shut down, or there should be new staff that actually care about getting people into places when they need it and not only about money. I get that they are sales people and they are there to make money, (I used to work in sales) but lying and constantly giving your clients the runaround is not away to improve business and keep people coming back. I would never, ever recommend not even my worst enemy to come to this place.

P.S.- As a broker, you should not have to borrow one of your client's phones to make phone calls to your other clients and argue with your manager/broker while showing the current client listings. Very unprofessionalDesired Settlement: All I want is my money back, my $500 deposit including my $75 application fee. I am fed up with dealing with them and have found another place with a group of professionals that know how to treat their clients.

Review: I gave $1050 for a deposit on an apartment. I did not take that apartment. I then applied for another apartment and the fee for application was $155 which was taken out of the $1050. I was denied that apartment. I was shown a few more apartments but found my current apartment through another realtor. Rapid Realty said they would refund me the balance of my deposit which is $895. They have given me the run around and the person who could give me the money was never there. I am a senior citizen living on social security and cannot afford to lose that money. I am tired of being told I will get my money and being given a round around. They say that they have provided services now and that it cost $895. What realtor serves cost $895. They spent a couple of days showing me apartments. They also deposited my deposit in their private accounts not an escrow account which is what should be done. If a deal is not made the money is returned to the client from the escrow account. They are stealing my money by making up stories that they provided services. They are denying me my money. And I cannot talk to anybody who will help me.Desired Settlement: I would like to get the balance of my deposit of $895 back.

Review: I provided them with a personal check for the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). I asserted that their agent, [redacted], assured me that his application for the apartment would not be submitted until after September*, 2014. On September*, 2014, I returned to their office and requested a full refund in the sum of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00), as I was dissatisfied with [redacted]’s lack of professionalism. I was again assured that my application had not been processed and I would be receive a full refund.

However, their company refunded me the sum of Four Hundred Twenty-Five Dollars ($425.00). They stated that they were keeping the remaining Seventy-Five Dollars ($75.00) for an application processing fee. [redacted] then stated that the application was processed on[redacted], August**, 2014, not on[redacted], September*, 2014, as previously promised and advised. I disputed this allegation and asserted that [redacted] was not able to process the application, as I had not yet provided all the necessary documentation to submit to the management company, [redacted].

Most recently, I contacted [redacted], [redacted] at [redacted] and she advised me that their management company does not process any fees until someone is approved for an apartment. In addition, I was informed by [redacted] that they had no record of my application, which was allegedly given to them by [redacted]. My Attorney office at [redacted] as sent two letters out with no response. I would just like my remaining money back of $75.00 because service was not rendered based on all the facts that has been provided.Desired Settlement: I would just like my remaining money back of $75.00 because service was not rendered based on all the facts that has been provided.

Review: I was taken to a apartment with no electricity at 7pm. The agent did not come inside with us he sent his girlfriend who smelled of Marijuana. I ask her about my medium sized dog she said it was fine. I asked her if it was ready to move in she said it was. We loved the apartment we wanted it. We left a deposit. Met the landlord days later who told us we can't have dogs & he will take off 2 rooms to make office space & it wasn't ready. Called the office the next day and after telling the lady what's going on she told me that the woman who showed the apartment to us was fired a month ago. She gave me the number of the agent who sat in the car he says we have to wait 3 weeks another agent said we can have the money back the next day then changed it to Monday.

We feel scammed these people are unprofessional & wanted our moneyDesired Settlement: We want our money back

This client is still in working progress with our company and will receive a

refund. Though she has been approved for initial apartment she applied for and

decided not to move forward with a lease signing, it is our policy that when a

client is approved to an apartment, they are not entitled to a refund, but can

use that deposit towards any other apartment of their choosing. Clients are

fully aware and sign a contact with our company, stating the full refund

policy. A refund will be acknowledged and we will refund in this case. For any

Review: I am filing a complaint against this company because they engage in unethical business practices.I applied for an apartment and I was denied the apartment although I supplied all of the information requested. They were not flexible regarding the hours that I could meet with the prospective landlord and I felt bullied and forced into accepting only one time. I did not rent the apartment and they are refusing to return my good faith deposit of $500 since April **, 2014. The [redacted] is a bully and refused to listen to me as did [redacted] who refused to give a reasonable time to view the apartment. [redacted], [redacted] kept making promises to return my refund which to this date has not been returned. They took the refund money out of my bank account and the [redacted] said it would be put back in but as of this date it is still not refunded. I showed them the debit entry from the receipt on my account but they still did not refund my money. I did not feel safe at the office and therefore called the police but still was not given my refund back. They have been rude and disrespectful and make promises about returning the refund receipt that they do not keep. Please tell them to give me my refund money back as it has been a waste of time to travel 3hrs to get to their office in the Bronx to only be left with not return of my refund fee of $500.Desired Settlement: I would like Rapid Realty Riverdale to keep their word and return my refund of $500 as promised. It doesn't take long to issue a refund but they keep making empty promise which they do not fulfill, not answering calls and not giving me back my refund. Please tell them that this is not good business etiquette and they are oppressing prospective tenants by not listening to them or considering their needs. They are supposed to be helping a tenant find an apartment but instead are not listening.
