MrCraig *** filed a
billing/collection complaint and we would like to respond to thisPatient called the office to have a
procedure done in which the physician performing the procedure was in network
with his insuranceThe physician bill was for $and insurance paid us

and the rest was a write off per our contracted rate as an in network
providerPatient responsibility was $0.00The facility where the patient had the procedure
was not in networkWe billed the insurance $and as per the patients policy there was no
allowed payment for going out of networkThe facility had to take an out of
network adjustment of $and the insurance applied $to patients
out of network deductible.In the end the facility did discount Mr
***'s bill for $582.47, leaving patient with $balance,Ultimately it Is the patient's
responsibility to check his/her benefits, not the office or the facilitysome
patients choose to go out of network, while others stay within their planWe
cannot tell a patient where to go to have the procedure; again it is the
patient's responsibility to know his/her insurance benefits prior to having any
procedure done.Thank you,
