Well it wasn't broken when I brought it down or before it went in. So no I'm not paying half of anything. I didn't brake it therefore I'm not paying on anything not 50% not 25%.

The customer called to tell us that the vent was broken off of his battery and he was asked to come back to our shop so we could take a look at it. When the technician looked at the vent it was in fact broken. We told the customer that we couldn't be sure if the vent was broken when he took the...

spare tire out of the trunk the night that he got the flat or if it was broken by one of our technicians when the spare tire was put back into the trunk. He did leave us a review on Facebook to which we also left a response and asked him to call us for some further resolution. He did call us back after we closed at 5pm and the call was answered. He was put on a brief hold because Bobby was finishing up a phone call with another customer. After about sixty seconds the customer was no longer on hold. Bobby attempted to call the customer back and was prepared to offer to pay 50% of our cost for a new battery to help rectify this situation. The customer didn't answer his phone so Bobby left a voicemail requesting the customer call him back and gave his personal cell phone number. Instead of the customer calling us back we were left this review on the Revdex.com.We have been in business since 1981 and pride ourselves on treating customers fairly. We would like a chance to resolve this matter.

As was stated previously, due to the fact that we do not know if the vent attached to the battery was cracked or broken before we put the spare tire away we stand by our decision to offer 50% of the cost of a new battery.

 It could have been handled like I was told by the receptionist. The fact that it was broken between the time when it was in the shop to when it came out. I should have been notified about the incident but I wasn't. With that being said I'm not taking any part of the cost of this. I already spent close to 400 dollars there. I'm not paying for half of the battery. It's almost like the same issue if I were to put a new battery in because the vent would still be broken.
