Rare Patient Voice Reviews (%countItem)

I have *** This company recruited me to do surveys if they pertain to a study that they need done on my specific health issues.

If I qualify for a study, I take the time, complete the study and I'm paid a small reimbursement for my time.

I have filled out to surveys in the past 2-3 months and have not received a payment.

Today I received an email stating:
I am emailing you in regards to our survey *** Unfortunately, there was an issue with the end page setup of the survey which told you that you qualified and completed the survey when you in fact didn't make it past the qualifying questions. Because of this issue you were told you qualify and sent the payment information email by mistake. My apologies that this issue wasn't caught ahead of time to prevent this from happening. Thank you for understanding.

Regards,

***

Which is unfair and deceptive. If there computer system messed up, it was still a FULL survey, that PERTAINED TO MY DISEASE, that I spent time filling out thoughtfully. There errors should not mean a disadvantage to the people they are paying.

I'm writing to you guys because earlier today there was another email that was sent to everyone that fills out survey's showing them correct ways to fill that out. So I'm assuming some people didn't fill them out correctly and they didn't receive reimbursement for some surveys so then they sent a false email to me making an excuse about the survey I completed.

It's really shaddy and bad business.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I want to be paid for the 2 surveys I have completed for this company and these will be the last I do for them. I don't trust them.

Rare Patient Voice Response • Jan 24, 2020

Thanks for your letter. Rare Patient Voice is a market research company that has provided patients and caregivers the opportunity to take part in confidential surveys. We have conducted over 3,700 surveys and have rewarded patients with over $4.1 million since our founding in 2013. We do not write the surveys, they come from our market research clients, and we connect consumers with them giving them the opportunity to qualify and take part. Those who do qualify and take part earn $100 per 60 minutes of their time.

The consumer mentions 2 surveys. One (for project *** she completed for $20, and payment to her went out by check on Jan. 15, so she should be receiving it soon. She was notified by email that the check was on its way. The other study *** she did not complete. Before qualifying for a study, several qualification questions are asked. Usually, when a consumer does not qualify, they are sent to a web page that lets them know they did not qualify. In this case, as we told her in our email that she quotes, our client who programmed the survey had an error, and when people didn't qualify it mistakenly sent them to a page thanking them for finishing the survey. We sent her and everyone who tried to qualify the email that she quotes, that this was a mistake. If she qualified, the survey would have taken about 20 minutes for a reward of $35. Our client has provided us information that she only spent 3 minutes, and didn't qualify, so she should not receive a reward.

She also mentions receiving an email about "showing them correct ways to fill out." Actually, this was an email we sent out to 10,000 of our panel members reminding them to take their time and not speed through surveys. It had nothing to do with the specific survey she had taken.

We are very proud of what we have provided to patients and caregivers, and we respond to each complaint individually. Please feel free to look at our Facebook page as well, where respondents have provided their comments. We give each respondent a chance to review each survey at the conclusion of each, and are proud to report a rating of 8.2 out of 10 overall. I would be happy to talk with you or anyone in more detail about our company.
