Rascal Kites

This appears to be a phantom company, no address or phone number on the website and failure to reply to three contact requests and multiple emails.
Unfortunately this was my son-in-laws Father's Day gift and was never received..ouch for mother in law. I needed to cancel the charge through my American Express account. A really good reason to use American Express verses any other card. I will also attempt to make a complaint with PayPal which is how they clear their ill gotten funds. I am not sure how easy that will be or if they will assist me in any way but for all those who are tempted to use this web company, I would think long and hard and maybe go to a brick and mortor venue before using them.

Review: I purchased a kite through [redacted] shopping website, and had it mailed to a relative in NC as a present. Because she knew little about kites, she texted that she thought some pieces were missing. She also said judging by the condition of the inner packaging, it looked as though the kite had been returned and re-sold. When she came to NY, she brought the kite with her. Since I own many kites and have the same one, I could see half of critical pieces were missing. Since Rascal Kites was on the return address on the box and handwritten on the receipt, I tried to communicate with them directly on their website via a "Contact Us" form. I didn't anticipate any problems. After 3 times and no response, I tried the email address RascalKites@[redacted].net and still no response. Since NO PHONE NUMBER was available, I sent a registered letter with return receipt to the address on the box and their website . The name Linda B[redacted] was on the return address on the shipping box, hence I sent it to her attention along with Rascal Kites on the letter and envelope. After 4 weeks, the letter was returned "Unclaimed." I went on their website a final time, and told them about the unclaimed letter. I wrote if I didn't hear back this time, I would file a complaint with Revdex.com. I still have not heard back. In the meantime, I contacted Bonanza, and because I chose to deal directly with the vendor-- as they recommend you to do-- I had exceeded the amount of days in which they would intervene with a purchase problem. Rascal Kites has a very elaborate website, sells quality high-end kites, and appears to be a reputable business. I am not sure what is going on. I would like the kite to be replaced or to be issued a return on my credit card, AND for me to be provided with a free shipping label if they wish the original one to be returned. Granted this is not their most expensive kite, but being totally ignored is unacceptable, regardless of the purchase.Desired Settlement: I would accept either a replacement or refund via credit card. If they wish to have the original kite to be returned, a free mailing label should be provided since none of this was my fault.
