Ratgen Personal Injury Law Firm Reviews (3)

We met with Ms [redacted] and her fiance on March 14, They were concerned about how long the case was takingI explained to them that some cases take less time and some cases take more timeWe discussed the fact that the case was almost over as we are currently negotiating her bodily injury settlement Her fiance referenced the fact that other back injury cases settle much soonerI explained to him that some do and some don't and each case is uniqueI then explained where we were at in negotiations in terms of what was being offeredThey were not happy with that and started comparing her case to another companion case and what that case settled forI told them that I would need to know more about the facts of that case to know whether we were comparing apples to apples or apples to oranges They then brought up the fact that she had experienced a subequent injury and I explained that the subsequent injury would not be the responsibility of the at-fault driver and their insurance company on the case we are handling for them and that this may account for the differences in value (without knowing anything about the companion case they seemed to be referring to) We thanked them for coming in and there seemed to be no resolution other than me advising them that if they were unhappy with our services, they were free to take their case to another attorney for continued handling With respect to the complaint that was filed with the Revdex.com, her treatment is no longer being paid because her auto insurer cut her offWe are in the process of filing for arbitration to address the remainder of the outstanding, unpaid medical billsRegarding the other side of her case, the bodily injury claim, we did initially demand $75,and thought that it could be done as early as the end of However, that was just an estimate and, obviously, this part of her case is still ongoing I did explain to her that when she came in to our office without an appointment and I could not meet with her, it was because we were working on a case with a filing deadline and asked that she come back the following week to discuss whatever she had come in to talk aboutInstead, we received her complaint that she filed with the Revdex.com Regarding her desired settlement, it is our impression that the insurance company is either at or close to their top offerMs [redacted] can either accept it or reject itIf she accepts it, then that part of her case is over and all that is left is to address the outstanding and unpaid medical bills As far as having no contact with our law firm, I disagree We signed her up as a client in February of She spoke to Tracy of our office regarding her property damage on February 27, and then Amarilis of our office on March 3, 2015, Amarilis left her a message on April 7, regarding her wage lossOn May 29, 2015, she came in and picked up a wage loss check Then, on June 10, 2015, she dropped off a bill from a medical provider On August of 2015, Amarilis spoke to her about her upcoming Independent Medical ExaminationShe was then reminder by Amarilis on August 19, of this appointmentIn February of 2016, she brought a medical bill collections issue to our attentionHer bills were no longer being paid due to the IMEOn August 9, 2016, she spoke to my paralegal, Jenn, about the status of her caseOn December 16, 2016, she spoke to my other paralegal, Bob On February 17, she spoke to my associate attorney FelixWhile her contact with my office has not been with me personally, as I explained to her at our first meeting, we handle cases as a team and different people in the office handle different aspects of the caseAs the owner of the law firm, I usually like to sign up cases and be the first point of contact and then I mostly administrate the work at the officeWe have a team of other attornyes, paralegals, a receptionist, a book keeper, office assistants and interns Also, the only time we can recall her coming in to try and meet with me personally was on or about February 24, when we were working on filing something with District Court that was due that dayWe asked her to come back the following weekShe did not until today at our request Lastly, it looks as if her case was worked on almost every single month since we began representing herIt's not as if we were sitting around and doing nothingAs state earlier, some cases go more quickly than othersThere is a reason that Minnesota gives cases like this a year statute of limitationsNot that her case will take yearsIt just speaks to the fact that sometimes car accident cases take quite a while to resolve Hopefully this response has addressed most, if not all, of the issues brought up by Ms [redacted] in her Revdex.com complaint Thank you, RATGEN PERSONAL INJURY LAW
