To whom it may concernAt this time all concern of Mr*** have been dealt with through the dealershipHe did indeed purchase an extended warranty and he also purchased a preplanned maintenance agreement which is not a insurance policy as he so indicatedThese plans are designed to help you
maintain your oem's service schedule and are managed by a third partyBoth the extended warranty and the pre planned maintenance contract are clearly disclosed with pricing and term on a menu disclosure sheet in which the consumer has to not only verbally acknowledge they also have to acknowledge with a signatureIt is true the pre planned maintenance contract once entered into by signature is non cancelable, as they are not insurance programs, warranties or guaranteesIt is also clearly printed on the contract in the acknowledgment section that it is non-cancelableAfter speaking at length with Mr*** about the concerns it was decided he would keep the extended warranty and we would change that from an after market provider that offers the same coverage's with a $deductible to a oem backed policy with a $deductible for his own piece of mindAfter discussing the pre planned maintenance contract it was decided we would ask the administrator of the contract to honor Mr***'s request to cancel, after a couple calls from the dealership we where able to convince the administrator to allow Mr*** out of the contractTo date Mr*** is happy with the resolution we were able to provide him and is enjoying his new PWCWe look forward to Mr***'s future business and helping him with all his power sports needs

Response:
Mr. [redacted] did indeed co sign an application in which he was denied credit. The lender will provide a letter of turn down via mail and will detail how Mr. [redacted] can inquire into those details, RideNow is not the lender and has no obligation or authority to explain in detail the reasons for denial of credit.
Mr. [redacted] was in fact given his information back and copies made for our records that follow the ECOA guidelines which state if an application is turned down for credit we must retain for no less than 25 mos before it is to be destroyed. Our company uses a secure and professional document shredding source, “CI Shred” to destroy all customer files that fall under this guideline.
In no way did anyone try to mislead or treat Mr. [redacted] with a lack of respect, we do not expect all consumers to understand the intricate guidelines or safeguard policies that are put in place by lenders and government agencies to protect consumers as well as dealers but we certainly have to follow them as put forth to us.

Review: I called one night to ask if they allowed test rides on motorcycles. I was told that they do not, but that they do an "acceptance ride" which meant a person buys the motorcycle, he takes it for an hour or two and if he doesn't like it then he can bring it back and "we would part as friends." I asked if that meant that the contract would just be torn up and he said "yes." So I went in the next day, went through the purchasing process, rode the bike for less than 7.5 miles, decided I didn't like the motorcycle and when I brought it back to say I didn't want it, I was then told that they could only get me onto a different motorcycle. I tried to tell them what I was told and they said that they could only get me onto a different bike. The way the things were worded was deceptive and they didn't make much attempt to help me.Desired Settlement: I would like to return the motorcycle and have the dealer take it back. They even told me they could sell it for more than what they sold it to me. So if they took it back, they would just make more money when they sold it again.

Response:

Dear Mr. [redacted];

I am writing this letter in response to the concern sent to the Revdex.com ID#[redacted]. On or about 07/06/2013 the customer requested a test ride on a used [redacted] motorcycle the dealership had for sale. The dealership employees kindly let him know that an acceptance ride was the only option. The customer was asked several questions about the purchase prior to and during signing of the contract and ownership documents. The customer said he had owned a smaller bike before and wanted to get another bike and upgrade size. He was given a acceptance ride, and took longer than a lhr ride. When the customer returned he stated that his wife did not like the bike or the payment and wanted him to return it. When the customer said this we told him there are several other used motorcycles that we could get him and he said no that he just wanted to return the bike. I explained to the customer that we told him prior to purchasing the motorcycle that if the motorcycle was not the right motorcycle we would get him into the right one. The dealership made every effort to make the customer purchase pleasant including a trade into another motorcycle, but the customer said no. Nothing was said at the beginning of the sale that he needed to check with his wife. It wasn’t until he came back to the store after his purchase that the customer stated his wife wanted him to return the motorcycle.

Thank you,
