Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: I will be repairing the railing myself and expect RAU Plumbing to reimburse me for my time as it is their plumber that caused the damage. RAU Plumbing should not be in contact with our contractor concerning this matter as this is between RAU Plumbing and myself. The bottom line is that RAU plumbing charges an extraordinary amount of money for their services and then expects others to repair their mistakes. I would like a credit

We are very sorry that [redacted] is so upset at this time but feel that we have done everything we could to try and satisfy her on this job. We understand that sometimes things happen during the course of a remodel that can cause minor cosmetic damages to walls etc. during the course of the project...

and in this case there were some minor scuffs on the railing and a divot in the sheetrock on the ceiling. When Ms. [redacted] notified us of her concerns we immediately offered to hire a licensed professional, or her current contractor if she was happy with him, to repair the damages we may have caused. Ms. [redacted] had originally asked for a substantially large amount taken off of her bill but seemed to be satisfied with our offer. We then spoke to her contractor who informed us that he had already patched the sheetrock while finishing other sheetrock in the house and that he intended on fixing the scuffs on the railing while staining other matching trim since he had extra stain on hand. We also sent one of our employees over to the [redacted] home that evening to assess the damages and speak to Mr. [redacted] who also informed us that the general contractor was repairing the previously mentioned damages. There was a factory defect with the shower head (that was supplied by the [redacted], not Rau Plumbing) which we replaced with a new one from our stock the same day that the problem was reported to us at no charge to the [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] was correct in her second statement, we only charge our apprentices at half the rate of a journeyman plumber. After speaking to her contractor again today he verified that he has repaired both the sheetrock and the scuffs on the railing to her satisfaction at no charge to her whatsoever. We hope that since the job is now complete and all repairs have been made that Ms. [redacted] is happy.
