Review: Rawlings Brothers garage and towing of Lawrenceville, VA towed my son's car because it was disabled on route 58 outside of Emporia VA. When we talked with them on Sunday July 31,2016 they said they weren't open to release the car (why did they answer the phone? Wanting to make more money on helpless people with an automotive problem?). I asked if there was a fee and was told it was $185 for towing. VA statues says they can't charge more than $125. When we made arrangements to have the car released on Aug 1, we were told the bill was now $235. We had to pay or they wouldn't release the car.

You might also want to check on their link on the internet as they clearly state that you gave them an A+ rating although you apparently don't know who they are.Desired Settlement: I want them to document when they picked up the car and give me a list of services and costs along with any refunds for overcharging. I want the commonwealth to investigate their business practices which appear to be price gouging of people in vulnerable situations.
