Good Afternoon, Attached are the cancellation forms that Ms [redacted] signed on 5/11/It does state on each for that the last bill date will be 5/17/and that each membership will still be active until 6/17/In the agreements it also states that the memberships will continue on a month to month basis until cancelled outIt also states that to cancel the memberships and stop the billing of the monthy membership fee's on the 17th, the club requires written notification by the 10th of the monthUnfortunately since Ms [redacted] did not cancel until the 11th of May, she was still billed on the 17th of May as in accordance to the membership agreementsSincerely, Allison B***

I have attached a copy of the member's membership agreementThis agreement clearly states that his membership does have an annual membership billed that will be billed to his account on file on or around the first of February for $The bullet point below that does state how to cancel the membershipIt also states in the same section that the annual fee is fully earned when received and is non~refundableHis membership agreement does state that it does have a month minimum termThe membership agreement clearly shows that the member initialed right beside the annual fee to show that he understood that it would be charged to his account on the first of February, His agreement also shows that he did initial next to the section that states that if he wishes to cancel his membership early before his month commitment has ended that he would have to pay a $buy out fee in order to cancel his membershipThe member did initial next to all of these points and did sign the bottom of the agreementAll of this shows that he did understand what he was agreeing to and that all of the charges were clearly explained to him when he signed up for the membershipPlease let me know if you have any further questions! Hi there! I am writing in response to the complaint submitted to the Revdex.com on 6/2/at 5:28:14am by [redacted] The complaint ID is [redacted]

Ms [redacted] signed up for a black card membership on February 4, at the Planet Fitness, Brook Park location Per her membership agreement, her account would be billed on the 17th of each month beginning February 17th, Her membership agreement does also state that an annual membership fee of $will be billed each year of your monthly membership, on or around the first of June, to the account on fileIn order to cancel the billing of this annual fee, the club requires written notice and cancellation of your membership on or before the 25th of the previous monthThe two ways to cancel your membership are to either come into the club and fill out a cancellation form or to send a letter via certified mail We do prefer certified mail, so that the member has documentation that they did send the letter and they know that we did receive it If a member comes into the club to fill out a cancellation form, the member can take home their yellow copy for their records! This way there is no confusion Ms[redacted] did initial beside the Annual Membership Fee on her agreement and by the cancellation & billing policies! We have each member do this to ensure that they have read and understand the cancellation rights and billing policies on the front and back of the agreement Ms[redacted] did not come into the Club to cancel her membership until June 3, Unfortunately, her Annual Membership Fee was already drafted from her account on file Ms [redacted] was also drafted her Annual Membership Fee June 1, 2013, as her agreement stated Ms[redacted] filled out her cancellation form with the General Manager, [redacted], at the Brook Park location, but never mentioned anything about confusion with billing policies or that she ever attempted to contact the club Janine did recently reach out to Ms[redacted] about her concerns and she has decided to refund her Ms[redacted] will be receiving a refund in the amount of $for the confusion and/or misunderstanding about her Annual Membership Fee Ms[redacted] chose to receive her refund in the form of a check via mailWe will be sending this out tomorrow, 6/9/

I reached out to Mr [redacted] and let him know that I have taken care of his membership...

transferring concerns.  The official Franchise policy is that a member must wait 90 days until they can transfer their membership to another location, but we are willing to waive that policy for members.  I did apologize that it was never brought to my attention before this week. I spoke to the General Manager of the Garfield Heights location, Reggie, and he said he would allow Mr [redacted] to manually transfer into their location for free. Mr [redacted] did come into our facility and fill out a cancellation form with us at Planet Fitness Brook Park, OH.
 
 I did also apologize for the inconvenience of shutting down our men's locker room from approximately 2:00am til 3:00 am on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.  We do have a cleaning company that does clean the facility 5 nights a week.  Friday and Sunday nights we are closed when they are here.  Due to past incidents by male members, we do have to shut the locker room because one of their cleaners is a female.  We do have signs posted in the locker room to let our members know and they are definitely allowed to let our overnight staff member that they need to use the restroom and he will escort them in there! I also apologized about our cable TV being out for 48 hours.  We were at the mercy of Time Warner Cable.  There was a huge major commerical issue  in the Cleveland area.  Time Warner was able to rectify the situation within 48hours. There were numerous businesses effected by this in the surrounding area including restaurants, hospitals etc.   I do wish it was resolved sooner than it was but  it was out of our hands. Also, I did apologize that our location does not have wifi.  Some Planet Fitness locations do have wifi and some do not.
