Ray Walsh Auto Service Reviews (1)

Review: On July 31, 2015 I took my 2006 Nissan maxima to the named inspection station to have my PA state inspection completed. I Left my car in the morning and early in the afternoon I called to get a status. At that time I was told that my car needed extensive front end work to pass inspection. I questioned them about this and was told that unless I did have this work done my car would not pass inspection. I told them that I had the car gone over recently and was told that I would not need anything for inspection. They told me that whoever checked it before obviously wasn't qualified to make such a statement. That person was [redacted] of Mancini Transmission shop. He did some other work for me and I asked him to look it over because I had to schedule the inspection and that in the past inspection station had told me that I needed work that I really questioned if it was really needed. After he completed the work he had to do he did check for any other problems. At that time he told me that I needed a ground cable and if I bought it he said he would install this cable. I did get the cable which he installed and checked my car over again. I asked him what all types of work on cars he did. He told me that he did the transmission work as well as front end work. He said he did not do inspections but recommended Ray Walsh Auto. I authorized Ray Walsh Auto to do the work needed to complete the inspection. I got a rental car for the weekend since my inspection had now expired. Ray Walsh told me he would order the parts and finish the car on Monday or Tuesday August 3-4. The car was left at his garage until the work could be completed and the inspection completed. After he did the front end wwork they told me that my car would not pass because the "check engine" light was on. I questioned them again about this. They ensured me they could fix this and complete the inspection for an additional $250 (approx). Again I authorized this. After doing the work they said they still couldn't inspect my car. They want $.Desired Settlement: After spending $926.17 I found a law that said if I spent over $150 to fix the "check engine" light I could get a waiver. Ray Walsh never told me about this. Additional costs incurred were car rental cost approximately $190, money I needed to borrow with interest cost of $100, my time of appropriately 20 hours at $100 per hour and an additional $90 for the waiver to be completed. This totals $3,306.17 (I believe). Full reimbursement for all work that was done based on fraudulent facts provided.
