This letter is in response to the letter I received from the Revdex.com on 6/27/ The complainant states that the job was not finished by Rayhill Construction, however, the job that we were hired for was cabinet installation only That job was completed and the client was satisfied and paid in full for the agreed upon work She asked us to install extras that was not a part of the original agreement which was only the cabinet installation We advised her that while we were there and had time, we would install the extras However, if we had to come back on another day there would be an additional charge for that work The agreed upon installation took a total of three days When we began installing the extras on the third day, she told us that she had some roll outs that she wanted done so we installed the roll outs in the base cabinets She then told us that she needed to get the roll outs for the pantry but did not have them there We told her that if she had them there before we finished we would not charge her to install them The day we finished, she brought them in and they were the wrong size for the pantry We explained to her that if we had to come back we would have to charge her a day’s wages and she did not want to do that We explained that if we happened to be in the area we would come by and install them, but if we had to make a special trip back from Bullitt County, we would have to charge her Unfortunately, we have not had any other jobs in that area so therefore, have not been able to stop by to install the roll outs for the pantry We were hired by this client to install her cabinets only She did not hire us to layout her kitchen cabinets, check the inventory of the cabinets or install any extras She was very particular in everything she did and she would not have paid us in full if the job we were hired for was not completed to her satisfaction I have a copy of the check that shows that she paid in full to Rayhill Construction At no time, did Rayhill Home Inspections do any work for this client as stated in the letter from the Revdex.com

MrRayhill has not offered any valid excuse as to why he did not finish my kitchen cabinet installation It is obvious that he is not going to complete the job for which he was paid As such, I request that this failure on his part be noted on his record with the Revdex.com Thank-you, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I contracted with MrRayhill, who is currently doing business under the name Rayhill Home Inspections, to install my kitchen cabinets This business is currently “Pending Dissolution” per the Kentucky Secretary of State MrRayhill alleges that he now or previously conducted business under the Rayhill Construction However, this is not a business registered with the Secretary of State Clearly, MrRayhill & his various business names are all the same entity As previously stated, the pull-out drawers for both the base cabinet & the panty were incorrectly ordered by [redacted] MrRayhill has continuously told me that he was not responsible for the incorrect order and subsequent delay in the cabinets Specifically, he informed me that he could not make an extra trip to my house since the delay was not his fault In his answer to my complaint, dated 7/14/15, MrRayhill now states that the drawers were ‘extras’ that I asked him to install after-the-fact This fabrication on MrRayhill’s part is absurd & in no way plausible The original invoice, dated 3/28/(attached), included many kitchen cabinet components It lists wall cabinets, base cabinets, trim, a lazy susan, toe-kicks, molding, knobs, etc In addition, it included all of the pull-out drawers The original estimate by [redacted] , from [redacted] , included all the cabinet components, including the drawers The original estimate by Joe Rayhill also included all the cabinet components, including the drawers All of the kitchen components were delivered on the same date Unfortunately, while the pull-out drawers were delivered, they were not the correct size This did result in a delay, as they had to be reordered Upon delivery, it was discovered that the pull-out drawers for the pantry were again the wrong size & had to be ordered a third time This was an inconvenience to everyone involved, but did not relieve MrRayhill of his obligation to finish my installation In August 2014, I acquired base cabinet pull-outs (see attached invoice.) This was after MrRayhill abandoned my installation on 7/23/ I offered to pay MrRayhill to install these additions in an effort to get him to return & finish the work for which I’d already paid him I was quoted a rate of $ I have had these installed by someone else, but still expect MrRayhill to be responsible for the roll-out drawers, for which I have already paid MrRayhill states that he was going to install my ‘extras’ and that he “would not charge” to install them No thinking person would believe that I obtained an estimate to have everything on my invoice installed, but asked that the price not include the roll-out drawers MrRayhill further states that he completed the job However, there are several areas where the trim is not complete (see attached photos), as MrRayhill said that he would finish it when he returned to install the pull-outs I paid MrRayhill in full upon his promise that he would return to finish the job MrRayhill has taken advantage of this kindness & owes me for completion of the work The work is not yet completed, but is estimated to cost $

This letter is in response to the letter I received from the Revdex.com on 6/27/2015. The complainant states that the job was not finished by Rayhill Construction, however, the job that we were hired for was cabinet installation only. That job was completed
and the client was satisfied and paid in full for the agreed upon work.
She asked us to install extras that was not a part of the original agreement which was only the cabinet installation. We advised her that while we were there and had time, we would install the extras. However, if we had to come back on another day there would be an additional charge for that work. The agreed upon installation took a total of three days. When we began installing the extras on the third day, she told us that she had some roll outs that she wanted done so we installed the roll outs in the base cabinets. She then told us that she needed to get the roll outs for the pantry but did not have them there. We told her that if she had them there before we finished we would not charge her to install them. The day we finished, she brought them in and they were the wrong size for the pantry. We explained to her that if we had to come back we would have to charge her a day’s wages and she did not want to do that. We explained that if we happened to be in the area we would come by and install them, but if we had to make a special trip back from Bullitt County, we would have to charge her. Unfortunately, we have not had any other jobs in that area so therefore, have not been able to stop by to install the roll outs for the pantry
We were hired by this client to install her cabinets only. She did not hire us to layout her kitchen cabinets, check the inventory of the cabinets or install any extras. She was very particular in everything she did and she would not have paid us in full if the job we were hired for was not completed to her satisfaction. I have a copy of the check that shows that she paid in full to Rayhill Construction. At no time, did Rayhill Home Inspections do any work for this client as stated in the letter from the Revdex.com

I stand by my original response to this complaint. The one thing I would like to add is that the reason we are having to deal with this is because I did not have a written contract with this client. When I have a written contract with a client everything that I agree to do for the price specified will be done. However, I was subcontracted by *** *** to do this installation of cabinets only.
Also, this complaint is under Rayhill Construction
Thank you,
*** ***

Rayhill Home Inspections (Joe) completed my home inspection on November 3, Today I had a professional come to my house to hook up my dryer vent and the professional told me that the vent upstairs was not connected dust particles were flying around upstairs and which I never have used my dryer in this house since I've been in hereThe professional stated that if I had the home inspected by a certified inspector that there's no way he or she should have missed this on the inspection and I told him that I had it done by Rayhill Home InspectionsI most definitely want to make sure other people do not use Rayhill home inspections for an inspector because my dryer vent was going up into my attic instead of going outside like it's supposed toAnd what I don't understand is that Joe didn't tell me the dryer vent was not connected nor did he mention anything about it going up into the atticBeware of Joe R*** inspections he is a shady home inspector

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I contracted with Mr. Rayhill, who is currently doing business under the name Rayhill Home Inspections, to install my kitchen cabinets.  This business is currently “Pending Dissolution” per the Kentucky Secretary of State.  Mr. Rayhill alleges that he now or previously conducted business under the Rayhill Construction.  However, this is not a business registered with the Secretary of State.  Clearly, Mr. Rayhill & his various business names are all the same entity.

As previously stated, the pull-out drawers for both the base cabinet & the panty were incorrectly ordered by [redacted].  Mr. Rayhill has continuously told me that he was not responsible for the incorrect order and subsequent delay in the cabinets.  Specifically, he informed me that he could not make an extra trip to my house since the delay was not his fault.  In his answer to my complaint, dated 7/14/15, Mr. Rayhill now states that the drawers were ‘extras’ that I asked him to install after-the-fact.  This fabrication on Mr. Rayhill’s part is absurd & in no way plausible.

The original invoice, dated 3/28/14 (attached), included many kitchen cabinet components.  It lists wall cabinets, base cabinets, trim, a lazy susan, toe-kicks, molding, knobs, etc.  In addition, it included all of the pull-out drawers.  The original estimate by [redacted], from [redacted], included all the cabinet components, including the drawers.  The original estimate by Joe Rayhill also included all the cabinet components, including the drawers.  All of the kitchen components were delivered on the same date.  Unfortunately, while the pull-out drawers were delivered, they were not the correct size.  This did result in a delay, as they had to be reordered.  Upon delivery, it was discovered that the pull-out drawers for the pantry were again the wrong size & had to be ordered a third time.  This was an inconvenience to everyone involved, but did not relieve Mr. Rayhill of his obligation to finish my installation.

In August 2014, I acquired base cabinet pull-outs (see attached invoice.)  This was after Mr. Rayhill abandoned my installation on 7/23/15.  I offered to pay Mr. Rayhill to install these additions in an effort to get him to return & finish the work for which I’d already paid him.  I was quoted a rate of $25.00.  I have had these installed by someone else, but still expect Mr. Rayhill to be responsible for the roll-out drawers, for which I have already paid.

Mr. Rayhill states that he was going to install my ‘extras’ and that he “would not charge” to install them.  No thinking person would believe that I obtained an estimate to have everything on my invoice installed, but asked that the price not include the roll-out drawers.  Mr. Rayhill further states that he completed the job.  However, there are several areas where the trim is not complete (see attached photos), as Mr. Rayhill said that he would finish it when he returned to install the pull-outs.  I paid Mr. Rayhill in full upon his promise that he would return to finish the job.  Mr. Rayhill has taken advantage of this kindness & owes me for completion of the work.  The work is not yet completed, but is estimated to cost $100.00.

Mr. Rayhill has not offered any valid excuse as to why he did not finish my kitchen cabinet installation.  It is obvious that he is not going to complete the job for which he was paid.  As such, I request that this failure on his part be noted on his record with the Revdex.com.
Thank-you,
[redacted]
