My name is Christina R[redacted]. I have worked as the licensed optician for Raymond Opticians for the past 18 years. I serviced [redacted] on August [redacted], 2016. Although [redacted] did not speak English well, I had no difficulty in communicating with her in filling her prescription. The insurance outline...

clearly stated the patient responsibility charges for a premium progressive lens with anti glare treatment. These charges were reviewed with [redacted] before her order was confirmed, and she agreed with the outline and charges which I had reviewed with her. I then gave her an itemized bill on our stationary and she paid in full and asked if I could expedite it which I did. A few days later, I dispensed the glasses to her, made a final fitting, and she seemed pleased. [redacted] never made any reference to the charges at any time. Several days later, her husband called the office and spoke to my office assistant. He was yelling at her saying that our office ov ercharged his wife and that we took advantage of her. This came as quite a shock to me. My office assistant said that he was very rude and demanded that I return his call. I will admit that I did not return his call for two reasons. The first is that he was not the customer with whom I interacted, second is, that he was not present when his wife placed her order.

Review: I am an employee of the [redacted]. I went for an eye exam the end of January 2014 and received 2 pairs of reading glasses as my contract with my union allows. I have been using one pair of reading glasses and left the second pair in the case in my handbag. I went to put the second pair on and I noticed a chip in the lens. I returned to [redacted]mond's Opticians and I was told by a tech, that the frame was used and that the chip is not covered. I DID NOT WEAR THESE GLASSES.I filed a complaint with my union rep. I was told many members have returned glases as far as a year later and the glases were replaced. I was told to speak to one of the [redacted]. I called and spoke to "[redacted]" and explained my situation and told him I am calling as instructed by my union,who gives this retailer a lot of business. [redacted] told me he had a meeting and would get back to me in a few days.....NEVER HEARD FROM HIM! I am now filing this complaint.Desired Settlement: I want the lens replaced and if the frames are damaged like the rep. said, I want them replaced as well. A courtesy return phone call from the [redacted], would be professional!
